iron hill brewery & restaurant

my husband and i dined here last friday night and really thought it was just okay for the price.  it's a large restaurant and bar with a great crowd with a huge variety ofbeerand offers late night dining.  though for two of us is was $70 without any drinks, if we're going to spend that on diner there as so many other places i would enjoy more.  cheesesteak eggrolls were greasy, beef stroganoff was incredibly too rich and seafood potpie hardly had any seafood.  our appetizer came about two minutes before our entrees which is poor service.  when we were seated the drink napkins we were given were previously used and actually had writing on them then a server was vacuuming right next to our table and hit my feet with the vacuum - i didn't know if we were on some kind of show that pranks people.  being its a pub maybe we should of stuck to pub food such as sandwiches and burgers though we won't be rushing back to find out.

this is another of my favorite places. i found it on this app about 4-5 years ago while travelling through the area and look forward to returning on every trip.
iron hill is a local brew pub with about a half dozen or so outlets in and around philly. i've been to three locations but this one in media (not too far from the airport is my favorite. it has an upscale feel (similar to gordon biersch if you know it), big open concept seating and the brewing apparatus visible. the staff at this location have always been top notch.
thebeeris excellent and a wide variety of options are available. the bonus is that the food is also quite good. i've had a variety of dishes here over the years and all have been excellent - i do have a particular weakness for the voodoo chicken pizza.

it's a little pricier than some places - dinner drinks and dessert ran about $45 tip in, but given the quality of the experience, it's worth it.

last sunday the sweetie and i spent the afternoon hiking the gorgeous nature trails at tyler arboretum . it was a great way to end the fourth of july weekend in relative peace and quiet, away from the hordes down at the jersey shore. after three hours communing with nature, however, we were really, really hungry—and in need of a refreshing beverage! while i am not a hugebeerenthusiast, there is something about a lot of physical activity in the great outdoors that just calls for a frosty cool one. and if i’m going to drink beer, i like it to be fresh made and preferably straight from a local brewery. from my online research of the media area near tyler, iron hill brewery seemed like a perfect choice for an early sunday dinner. at the end of the night i can say it was definitely worth the stop for their refreshing beer, but the food was a little hit-or-miss. some things were great but i think you do have to be careful what you order, and stick more to bar-food basics. we got to iron hi

i really enjoy breweries in general but iron hill is one of the best. place is very clean. service is usually quick (unless you go at a really busy time). i've been here a few times and gotten a few different items each time.

first time i got a pulled pork sandwich. it was good, but after awhile the bread became really soggy so it was tough to eat. after this i usually just stuck with the pizza which i thought was very good.

the beers at iron hill are very good and if you're not familiar withbeerthe waiters know all about each of them and will help you pick which one is best for you. they will even give you a few samples to try to make sure you like it before you buy. and since they make thebeerthemselves thebeerprices are cheaper then most

great experience!. i decided to throw my good friend a surprise birthday dinner. there was to be about 20 of us and i had no idea how hard it would be to accommodate a party of that size on a saturday night. iron hill had no issues with us all coming in and didn't make me feel that we'd be a "nuisance" like some other places had when i called to make reservations.
it was my first time there and i will definitely be back. food was good,beerwas great. and even though a good amount of the party didn't show up, they never made us feel like they were put out by us being there. everyone had a great time and the birthday girl was happy. :) will definitely check out the other locations as well.

foods good enough. bartenders are ignorant and thebeeris mediocre at best.

hmmm...much better now!!!!!. hmmm...i was plesantly surprised! tried this restaurant when they first opened a few years ago and was not impressed then...but always saw a crowded parking lot and gave it another try! glad we did! the burgers were amazing! ...in fact...they have my vote for the best burgers around! we also had the fish & chips... very enjoyable. nicebeerbattered crust and done just right. my only compaint was the prices are a bit high for the meals...close to $14 for a burger and fries (or salad) and about $16 for fish and chips...but the quality was there so it is a trade off. expect to spend $50 for beers and burgers for two people. service was excellent...alsmost too fast since we were enjoying our friends company. the restaurant has a very nice atmosphere..is a bit dark but warm and modern. i do look forward to going back! glad they do "call a head seating" or advanced reservations!

i really enjoyed this restaurant when we went there in february; the waiter was friendly and the food was great. their selection ofbeeris great because everything is brewed in-house and the wait staff was helpful in picking abeerselection. i would recommend their sampler of beers because that way you can taste an array of their beers without having to pay for full glasses.

everything they do, they do well. nice selection ofbeermade on-site. you'll find all the standard american fare but with juuuuusst enough experimentation and individuality to keep it interesting. staff knows their job as well. can def recommend
