iron cactus

it was our daughters graduation day and it was a great memory!!! the owners were very accommodating for our large group. theservicewas on spot...(our daughter was/is a waitress all through her college days, so we know)!! the menu selection and food was beyond traditional with their own special twist of flavor. we highly recommend this restaurant. thank you so much!! 😋👍🏻👍🏻

went there with 12 other people. had reservations for 7pm. did not get seated till 7:45.serviceslow. my husband ordered the pulled pork tacos. they came out burnt. told waitress, she offered him a menue then refused to wait on us the rest of time. had a margurita that was mostly tequila. finally my husband got up and spoke to mgr. he admitted he left meat on too long. husband asked why he served to customers and mgr said because people kept ordering. never offered to make it right. when i asked waitress if there was a review section on website, she asked why and i told her. she offered to get mgr of which i said should have been done to begin with. she got an attitude and left. my food was ok but have had better mexican. we are frm texas and heard great things about this place. will never go back and do not recommend to anyone

driving back from ms to tx and stopped at iron cactus. food andservicewas excellent! we started off with the queso with beef, then my husband ordered the fish tacos and i the combo fajitas. we will definitely stop by again next time we are traveling through the area.

not that great. we have heard that this place was great but we were severely disappointed. i will point out that it is the best in calhoun because there are no others. we normally don't care if the wait is long but it was over an hour. i got the enchiladas with fajita meat. i will say the chips and salsa are good but that is the only thing. the tortillas on my enchilada were the wrong texture, and the sauce tasted like hormel chili. the rice tasted like the spanish rice that you can get from the grocery store for 98 cents. also, my food sat for so long after being prepared that the enchilada sauce had a skin on it. also, everything at this restaurant is $5 more than it is at the other area restaurants.

theservicewas fair, and our waitress was nice. i just don't see why they can't find a recipe for rice and enchilada sauce on the internet. they already have tomatoes, so it wouldn't be that difficult.

i like it here. food is not authentic mexican, but it's good, you get a lot of it, and the prices are reasonable. atmosphere is nice, andserviceis normally excellent.

i've eaten at a multitude of mexican restaurants, and very few compare to the quality of iron cactus. tonight i had some queso with my chips and the mexican cornbread, which i would recommend to anyone. it was delicious, and to top everything off, theservicewas really great too. 9/10.

yes and no. the food at iron cactus is good. the rice and the fish tacos are really good, adn i'm a bit of a snob about each of these items. however, the tables are far too close together, and the parking situation is atrocious. theservicehas always been great, though, and we will go back at some point. it's just such a drive out there!

great food, greatserviceand the chips and salsa were fantastic ! especially loved the salsa cos they used quite a bit of cilantro in it. deelishuss !!! my hubby got the beef fajitas and they gave him enough for 3 people !! he said they were the best he's ever had and he's had him some fajitas ! i got a chicken tostada stack. wonderful !! and theservicewas great ! the owner actually was our waiter as well. great !!!!

love the cheese enchiladas. chips and salsa are very good.greatservicehere.

also just because its a mexican restaurant you need to try there steaks. they are awesome and very big in size. very good.

this has got to be the best mexican restaurant around. we've tried them all and iron cactus has them all beat. very friendly folks and the food andserviceis awesome. very reasonable. well worth the drive from west monroe.

love it!. my husband and i will come here at least every 2 weeks. i generally will get a to-go order for lunch between that time. we truly enjoy the food,serviceand prices. you gotta try this place!

2 for 2! that's a good thing!. my husband declared this has got to be his favorite place to eat out. we wanted to make sure it wasn't a "fluke" the first time we went to eat there, and they were just great 2nd time around.

well worth the drive!. i had the fish taco's with a sauce that was awesome. my husband loved the enchilada's. i normally can't eat salsa, but knew i could theirs because i bought a jar of it at the taste of the twin cities event. it was as tasty as i remembered. very homemade, fresh and delish!servicewas outstanding. owned, operated and prepared by local married couple who are american. we found our new mexican eatery.

waste of time.servicewas horrible. i read raves about the salsa and found it lacking personally. i have only not left a tip a handful of times in my life and this is one of those places that i didn't.
