delicious food, friendly staff! thesalsais fantastic, try the fried avocado! i have never had a bad meal.. go hungry cause the portions are large. i usually have a doggy bag. there is liable to be a wait list no matter what day you go on.
you can call ahead and get on wait list.

i'm a little torn..... awesome food and salsa! this menu on zomato is not up to date. the prices have increased by a nice bit. i ordered take out, and was surprised at how much the total was. chips andsalsaare free while dining in, and are pricy dining out. kinda left a bad taste in my mouth.

a tad expensive but it's so good. fajitas and salads and guacamole andsalsaare great! i wish they offered a kids burger though. i need this post to be 140 characters long apparently.

not that great. we have heard that this place was great but we were severely disappointed. i will point out that it is the best in calhoun because there are no others. we normally don't care if the wait is long but it was over an hour. i got the enchiladas with fajita meat. i will say the chips andsalsaare good but that is the only thing. the tortillas on my enchilada were the wrong texture, and the sauce tasted like hormel chili. the rice tasted like the spanish rice that you can get from the grocery store for 98 cents. also, my food sat for so long after being prepared that the enchilada sauce had a skin on it. also, everything at this restaurant is $5 more than it is at the other area restaurants.

the service was fair, and our waitress was nice. i just don't see why they can't find a recipe for rice and enchilada sauce on the internet. they already have tomatoes, so it wouldn't be that difficult.

iron cactus is by far my favorite mexican restaurant! i absolutely love their chips/salsa, salad withsalsaranch dressing, mexican cornbread, steak, and burgers. i'm sure the other menu items are just as good. they almost always have a 30-60 min wait on any night, but it is worth the wait!!! we make frequent trips to calhoun just to eat here.

always great!!!! i was reading the previous review and just laughed. first of all i know the owners personally and the chips are fried fresh everyday. also thesalsais made from scratch everyday. another thing if you want cheese be specific.... ask for queso if that's what you want on your enchiladas... oh and by the way the plates never go in the microwave... they go in the oven on the plate to melt the cheese..... duh

the food is always great here. i have never ordered anything from here that i did not like. my favorites are the fish tacos and fajitas. sometimes there will be a wait list on the weekends. it is definitely worth the drive from monroe.

worst mexican food ever. we had heard several people say this was the best mexican you could eat. was we in for a surprise! first off, the waitresses walked around in blue jean shorts and flip flops. so unprofessional! the chips seemed like they were right out of a bag of generic brand. thesalsawas bland and garlicky. we ordered the enchilada plate. the rice seemed like it was mahatma ready made and the beef inside the enchilada was seasoned with taco mix. we asked for cheese over the enchiladas and what we got was thickened cheese over everything on our plate. the plates were so hot that you could tell they just came out of the microwave. for you people who think you are getting the best mexican food you ever had, then you must have never had real mexican food before and don't know what you are missing. by the way, we hope you make it home in time to get to the bathroom. first and last time going there!

iron cactus is the best mexican in this area. everything is fresh, tastes great, and you will never leave hungry. the mexican cornbread, fajitas, and puffy tacos are my favs. greatsalsaand chips too. all those make it worth the drive for most people. it's popularity makes you want to go early or late for a meal because its small and you will be waiting for a table! despite that, it's worth it!!!!

great food, great service and the chips andsalsawere fantastic ! especially loved thesalsacos they used quite a bit of cilantro in it. deelishuss !!! my hubby got the beef fajitas and they gave him enough for 3 people !! he said they were the best he's ever had and he's had him some fajitas ! i got a chicken tostada stack. wonderful !! and the service was great ! the owner actually was our waiter as well. great !!!!

we love love love this place! the tex mex salad is great...chicken fajita meat seasoned perfectly withsalsaranch dressing.... yum! the owner and staff are so friendly and helpful. the best chips and salsa!

don't mistake the popularity for quality. went for dinner on a recommendation and left before we ordered. a lady (i can't say she was the waitress because by definition she wasn't) took our drink order. my margarita was disgusting. it tasted like dirty water and margarita mix. the chips were either cooked in old oil or oil that was never hot enough. thesalsawas bland and had no heat to it. couldn't tell you about the entrees because no one ever bothered to ask if we wanted any. i wouldn't go back.

love the cheese enchiladas. chips andsalsaare very good.great service here.

also just because its a mexican restaurant you need to try there steaks. they are awesome and very big in size. very good.

this has got to be the best mexican restaurant around. we've tried them all and iron cactus has them all beat. very friendly folks and the food and service is awesome. very reasonable. well worth the drive from west monroe.

great mexican restaurant!. i haven't had anything i didn't like here yet. the fajitas meat is well-seasoned. i love thesalsaand chips. even the burgers are superb!

waste of time. service was horrible. i read raves about thesalsaand found it lacking personally. i have only not left a tip a handful of times in my life and this is one of those places that i didn't.

very good food!!! chips andsalsar the best in town. garlic butter with the fajitas adds a nice touch and i've heard wonderful things about the fried avocado.
