pleasantly surprised. i hadn't really heard much about this place but i found it late one night after leaving six flags. i ordered a double double with fries. the first thing i noticed that for fast food or any place the fries were amazing. maybe because they were real? the burger was good by fast food standards. i've tried the burgers with many different ways including animal style. you can google the secret menu if you'd like. i prefer it made just the way they serve it.

overrated by far. disgusting. tastes like every other crappy, cheap fast food burger. why the hype? every idiot hipster that wears tom's, skinnys, and an american apparel deep v raves about this place. i thought i'd try it. i should've gone to twisted root. you should, too.

i actually like the burgers but waited almost 15 mins in drive thru. only two cars were in fromt of us. no apology for such a long wait. and you can't just pull out of drive thru. you're trapped. lousy location.

how i met your burger. i mean...that first bite—oh, what heaven that first bite is. the bun, like a sesame freckled breast of an angel, resting gently on the ketchup and mustard below, flavors mingling in a seductive pas de deux. and then...a pickle! the most playful little pickle! then a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and a...a patty of ground beef so exquisite, swirling in your mouth, breaking apart, and combining again in a fugue of sweets and savor so delightful. this is no mere sandwich of grilled meat and toasted bread. this is god, speaking to us in food.

last update: 6/28/2015. as we stated in the previous review, the beauty of in-n-out is their limited menu. so burgers, fries, shakes, and sodas. that's about it. all at a very affordable price. fresh ingredients define their hamburgers, the meat, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and buns always seem if they were bought right off the farm and served up steaming hot. their signature dressing is a thousand island basically. the double-double is their signature burger. it's a double meat (thin patties so not overly filling), double cheese, and still the best value in town. oh, and their fries are delicious as well. there's a reason in-n-out is extremely popular. high food quality + low prices = success.

glad to have it in tx. since they've opened i've made it a point to stop in for a burger everytime i'm in the area. i could hardly contain myself when after so many years without i finally got to sink my teeth into a double double animal style.
are they the best burgers i've ever had? no, they're not. are they better than average for fast food? you bet. hot, fresh and unmistakable to those of us who have missed them for so long. in the half a dozen times i've been there since may i've never had a cold burger or a soggy fry.
that said, i hope they'll open a store futher east on i30 so that i don't have to drive 70 miles to sate my cravings.

terrible!!. have heard a few things about this place....what a let down. the patty was the smallest i've ever seen! and that includes jr. burgers. this was a ridiculous waste of money! fries were just as bad :/ will not be returning.

our first time.... great burgers and fries. i mean really where else cam you get a fresh patty (never frozen) burger for $2.00 and fresh cut fries for $1.50. the fries were not soggy at all. we asked about making it into a monster burger and fries but decided to wait until our next trip. ladies bathroom was a mess...it looked like someone had tpeed it.

anyone that doesn't like in & out's french fries have been brainwashed by eating crappy frozen reconstituted potato fries at other burger places like mcdonalds. in & out fries are from fresh real potatos...& they are fried twice to make them crispy. they are real fries the way you (should) make them at home. look it up in a cookbook! the burgers are good, the fries are excellent. the staff is fast, friendly & efficient. the store (in hurst),is immaculate. i have been to all the other buger joints and whataburger is ok but slow. in & out has my vote. excellent staff, positive and attentive. the fries are the best i have ever had!!!!

better than i thought. i'm not a hamburger fan ... i'll eat them, but they aren't something i go and look for when i'm hungry (my boyfriend on the other hand is a hamburger lover). i'd heard the hype about in-n-out and wasn't interested. i'd heard from some people they weren't that good anyway. i finally caved and went with my boyfriend, just to try it, and we were passing it on a late night home. omg - i am obsessed and i'm not even sure why. i actually crave them, and writing this review makes me want to jump out and get into my car. i don't eat french fries, so i can't comment on them, but their cheeseburger (with no onions) is amazing. they probably aren't for everyone, but i will certainly be back ... and the prices are reasonable. my boyfriend thinks they are decent, but he'll eat their because i enjoy them.
