i really don't know what i could possibly say aboutin-n-outthat hasn't already been said. in my opinion, it's probably the best hamburger chain in the country. the hamburgers are very good, and they are very consistent with their quality. the quality and consistency of their food not withstanding, what stands out to me the most whenever i visitin-n-outis the friendliness of the staff and the pleasure they seem to take in serving the customers. this really makes all the difference and proves that even a fast food meal can be an all-around enjoyable experience.

the intense smell of fried onions greeted me for my inauguralin-n-outexperience! i have been informed by countless people regarding their simplistic menu and secret options.

at first i was afraid, i was petrified...double double? animal style? 10x10? where do i even begin? and that was when i pulled out my iphone and i swore i saw an angel on my screen singing to me the ins and outs of, well,in-n-out:)

i stood bravely at the counter and ordered a double double with fries, all in animal style, for my first trip down the rabbit hole! the burger was fresh and delicious; top of the line in the fast food world since it was prepared live. the fries, though, were marginally okay - i guess my taste buds weren't gelling with the unique recipe.

maybe i came too late at night or they can smell new blood, but the other patrons inside seemed a bit too creepolific to me - guess everybody loves in-n-out!

yummy. burgers are made as you ask them to make them - even will give you a jalopeno if you want one or more -- and the fries - magnificient and never frozen - splurge and have a shake - and make that burger a double cheese --absolute the best meal for your money you'll ever find!!

yum.in-n-outburgers are great -- staff are smiling and helpful -- and that can be a shocker - i missin-n-outas i am now in south miss and i can't wait untilin-n-outarrives here in hattiesburg ms because mcd's will go out of biz (food is never hot and i live in apt complex behind one -- only thing i purchase are side green salad and senior coffee -- everything else is cold before i can get it across the parking lot and into my apt.

so ya'll enjoyin-n-outand say hi to the staffers for me!!

last update: 6/28/2015. as we stated in the previous review, the beauty ofin-n-outis their limited menu. so burgers, fries, shakes, and sodas. that's about it. all at a very affordable price. fresh ingredients define their hamburgers, the meat, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and buns always seem if they were bought right off the farm and served up steaming hot. their signature dressing is a thousand island basically. the double-double is their signature burger. it's a double meat (thin patties so not overly filling), double cheese, and still the best value in town. oh, and their fries are delicious as well. there's a reasonin-n-outis extremely popular. high food quality + low prices = success.

better than i thought. i'm not a hamburger fan ... i'll eat them, but they aren't something i go and look for when i'm hungry (my boyfriend on the other hand is a hamburger lover). i'd heard the hype aboutin-n-outand wasn't interested. i'd heard from some people they weren't that good anyway. i finally caved and went with my boyfriend, just to try it, and we were passing it on a late night home. omg - i am obsessed and i'm not even sure why. i actually crave them, and writing this review makes me want to jump out and get into my car. i don't eat french fries, so i can't comment on them, but their cheeseburger (with no onions) is amazing. they probably aren't for everyone, but i will certainly be back ... and the prices are reasonable. my boyfriend thinks they are decent, but he'll eat their because i enjoy them.

i don't understand. my family tried thein-n-outon airport freeway in hurst and simply do not understand the appeal. the food was average to mediocre and neither of us could come up with a reason to even go back. we sincerely believe we are as objective as possible, and in every different approach trying to give the restaurant the benefit of potential oversight, there just isn't anything there. my personal best description is that it seemed as though they were trying to pass a smaller version of whataburger ingredients off as original, but i would greatly prefer whataburger. it also wasn't an inexpensive experiment. almost $20 for three of us to have cheeseburgers, drinks, and fries.

highly recommend not falling for the hype. not the worst food you can buy, but for the time and financial investment there are many, many better choices.

awesome!. the funny thing is that people comparein-n-outto a sit down restaurant. the burger is delicious, and must be compared to similar restaurants. as extreme as it sounds, which would you choose, mcdonald's or in-n-out? they are both drive thru restaurants. a place to go for a quick lunch. scotty p's, five guys, etc.. are in a different class and shouldn't be compared.

when you want an inexpensive, drive thru burger, this one can't be beat. :) i'm not a huge fan of the fries. my usual order is: an animal style double double protein style, animal fries, and a large diet.

sometimes, i simply get a 3x3 protein style, no drink, no fries. mmmmm, now that's good eatin'.

why can't we havein-n-outon the east coast. anyone who debates the merits of five guys versusin-n-outis strictly out of their mind.in-n-outis vastly superior. a typical five guys meal is a very greasy, yet dry burger with fries that are burnt and greasy. five guys is more in competition with micky d's.

in-n-out is the king. any west coast swing must have a stop at in-n-out. i love the double-double: two patties, two slices of cheese. i like it without the veggies and special sauce. i love it so much i get a double-double-double: two of the doubles. i love the fries and they have the best vanilla shakes. it's 2000 calories in one sitting, but i choose death over depriving myself of such a sumptuous treat.

double-double burger beats val's burger hands down!. there are a lot of burgers that are superior toin-n-outburgers...tower grille in danville, nines in brentwood, riata and first street ale house in livermore, baci in pleasanton...and many more.

however, there are also many disappointing restaurant burgers that can't hold a candle toin-n-outburgers...val's burger in hayward is a prime example. so much hype and awfully overrated...all for a burger i wouldn't pay $1 for!
