this place is definitly popular, whilst waiting in line it's hard not to be tempted by their baked goods. we tried the mixed berry crumble tart which was very good. the burrito was a filling and tasty option, whilst the veggie chopped salad was a lighter option though i did find it to be slightly bland. don't go past the homemade house chocolate, delicious. i'd probably be back for more of their pastries and a coffee

we were already a little behind our schedule for the day and were not that happy seeing the crowd at huckleberry. to set our luck a little better for the day, we realized that many of them were waiting for take-outs. i was also praying for a seat outside

santa monica’s huckleberry can get kinda loud. not pounding music loud. more happy customers chatting with friends and enjoying a late breakfast or lunch loud. oh, it can get pretty busy, too, with people lining up at the counter to order a brisket hash or a lentil ragu with poached eggs for breakfast or a butternut squash salad for lunch.

we went to huckleberry in santa monica, which was just as crazy as the last time i ate there. i ordered a small raw kale salad with raisins, pine nuts, and honey lemon vinaigrette

saw this restaurant on food network and was excited to try it... long line moved fast, ordered sandwich offered with arugula, pesto, roasted pepper and goat cheese.. not bad. better if offered with chicken. service was mediocre at best. had poor selection of pasties unlike what was shown on episode.. expensive lunch at $30.75 including pastries for later.. gave cashier $41.00 and a math lesson and still handed me back the $1 ...and then $9 more. pastries were nothing to write home about... owners have something good here but i would bet profit is down. won't be back

longtime favorite in santa monica. healthy and tasty. my grilled cheese was so cute with a round cut out and replaced with an egg. baked goods look especially delicious though i'm saving them for the next visit.

this place is amazing. been on my list of places to visit for years, and it was worth the wait. the salads and soups were delicious, the gluten free macaroons blew my mind, the friendliest waitstaff and baristas.... food for every allergen and dietart requirement. go!

came for lunch because phil rosenthal of "i'm having what phil's having" said to go there and give it a try. very glad i did. one of the finest places in la. the pastries are exceptional . . . i know. i tried just about everything in the pastry portion of the counter.

great stop for a sunday brunch. the place is really popular so be prepared to wait in line. i tried the fried egg sandwich which was on point but i doubt you can go wring with anything on this menu. don't forget to try the coffee too..good stuff!

omg breakfast, fantastic service, pumping vibe on a weekend morning!  this place is buzzing all the time.  had the huevos rancheros which needed a bit more bite but yummy nevertheless.  the macchiato was a let-down but not too bad for american coffee.  didn't try the sweets but they all delectable on the display.

been meaning to go to huckleberry for ages. i've been to the groups other restaurants, milo and olive, rustic canyon and a few others which are all spectacular as is huckleberry.

farmers market ingredients, creative dishes all at reasonable prices housed in a great space.

every bite you take at hucleberry is worth the waiting in line that you might have to do. delicious and healthy food. it's a little expensive, but it's worth it. don't miss it

rude and over-priced. is the food good? yes. expensive? yep. the problem is i can't patronize a place that normally lacks hospitality and is over-priced.

i had an appointment at the nearby hospital and was dropped off early so i could grab breakfast here. it was 15 minutes before it opened at a surprisingly-late time for a breakfast/lunch place (i thought they opened an hour earlier). there was rain outside and it was chilly. several workers were around (maybe 7 or 8) getting ready to open the restaurant but there wasn't some nutty hustle happening.

5 minutes before opening, i knocked on the glass door to just request a seat (i was dizzy) and would be purchasing food when they officially opened, but i was ignored by workers who obviously saw me, heard me knocking and ignored me. i just don't understand why no one would crack the door to see what i wanted when i was smiling and waving, looked "normal", and held up my pointer finger indicating and mouthing, "one second" with no one else waiting to get in. at 1 minute before 9, they were still ignoring me. that's just bad manners and bad business. so, i left.

i've never been back since and much prefer the even-better, decadent milo and olive breakfast creations up the street.
