rude and over-priced. is the food good? yes. expensive? yep. the problem is i can't patronize a place that normally lacks hospitality and is over-priced.
i had an appointment at the nearby hospital and was dropped off early so i could grab breakfast here. it was 15 minutes before it opened at a surprisingly-late time for a breakfast/lunch place (i thought they opened an hour earlier). there was rain outside and it was chilly. several workers were around (maybe 7 or 8) getting ready to open the restaurant but there wasn't some nutty hustle happening.
5 minutes before opening, i knocked on the glass door to just request a seat (i was dizzy) and would be purchasing food when they officially opened, but i was ignored by workers who obviously saw me, heard me knocking and ignored me. i just don't understand why no one would crack the door to see what i wanted when i was smiling and waving, looked "normal", and held up my pointer finger indicating and mouthing, "one second" with no one else waiting to get in. at 1 minute before 9, they were still ignoring me. that's just bad manners and bad business. so, i left.
i've never been back since and much prefer the even-better, decadent milo and olive breakfast creations up the street.
