service varies from time to time but a general satisfied feeling. the food is consistent and delicious. flavorful and not too spicy. the vibe has changed from what it was a few years back but definitely still a top choice for a good curry

colourful florida road in durban is jam packed full of restaurant and bar choices covering a span of different cuisines however this is home to house of curries. a laid back, friendly bar that has a well worn feeling about it but serves up a mean roti wrap stuffed with a tasty filling of your choice. it isn’t fine dining but it doesn’t pretend to be.

satisfying a samoosa obsession, their cheese and sweet corn samoosa has a delicate pastry and a balanced filling that is simply delicious. hoc serves 4 assorted for r20, an extremely gratifying nibble.

make sure to bring your stomach with you as their portions are colossal. the regular beef, chip & cheese roti wrap (r 55) is enough to share. quantities aside, the roti itself is rich, comforting and is accompanied by wonderfully acidic carrot salad, pickled carrot and sambals side. the roti wrap is a wholly gratifying and substantial meal.

the next time i am visiting durban i would like to try the chicken/bean mini bunnies (r 42) or to be decadent and indulge in the chip chow.

affordable easy food and beer! i could spent two days a week at this joint if i was staying in durbs. i had the chip roll and cheese, lamb flavour. they could add more variety to the menu though as it just looks like a kota joint!

i am currently in durban on a business trip and i was taken here by the locals. i waited 30mins just to receive service and i still didn't get it. i had to get up and grab a waitresses myself and literally force her to help me......
then i received my menu and no korma chicken #shocked! isn't this house of curries i ask....they told me it's too complicated to make lol.
maybe being a joburger has spoilt me rotten but i'm a fan of great service and all i have received here was crap service!!! it's like they were doing me a favour.

my battery then died and i started off by asking then begging the manager to charge my phone in order for me to call my cab guy or else i was stranded and he said "no matter how much you beg it's not going to happen, policy."

oh and after all that the food was large and okay #sigh

by far my best durban curry place in durbs. the lamb roti is out of this world and you don't have to fish for the lamb either as it is packed with the stuff! always quite vibey here and service is not too bad.

your generous portions and tasty roti's are the reason i vote you my number 1 spot in dbn ☆★☆★

had a chip cheese and mutton curry roti and it was the amazing. full of flavour and great value for money. regular size is sufficient enough to feed 2 people.

i give hoc this high rating purely based on the nostalgia is provides!

hoc is a sports bar cum canteen take away. a durban favorite that delivers on flavour and portion size. for r45 the quarter chicken bunny or roti wrap is value for money. wash it down with a beer whilst watching a sharks game is the pinnacle of evolution.

food and service was amazing , would definitely recommend.
