houndstooth grill & tavern

chef needs an education. had dinner alone on friday night near closing time (8:30). wait staff was very pleasant, ordered the grilled chicken and had it blackened. it was served with long grain wild rice and steamed vegetables. food took 1/2 hour and chicken arrived undercooked (still pink in the middle) the rice was a combination of the scrapings of the container that was dried out and an over cooked batch that was soggy. it was also devoid of flavor. when the bill came i told the sever about the rice and was offered mashed red potatoes to go with my left overs. these were likeeatingglue. any cook knows that salt, plenty of cream and butter is required to make good mashed red potatoes because of their high glutten content. the corn chowder was more like corn soup made from canned corn. if you are going to go the effort, use quality ingredients. had better food at golden corral.

impressive. this is the best food in the area that doesn't have chateau elan prices. the next time i run at road atlanta, i'll beeatinghere. sit in the bar. they have some great happy hour specials.

first timeeatinghere. fried mushrooms were good stuffed with cream cheese. i had the cajun pasta which had a good flavor; just very rich, but will enjoy warmed up later. i had a bite of the porkchops and have to say they were very good...tender and likeeatinga good steak. i will be going back and do recommend. something on the menu for everyone. staff very hospitable and friendly. :)

delicious.. my family and i loveeatingat houndstooth. it's by far our favorite restaurant in the area. some of our favorites are the grouper fingers, fried green tomatoes, buffalo chicken quesadilla, chicken fajita quesadilla, fried shrimp, grilled salmon, and quiche of the day...especially chicken & broccoli quiche. the macaroni and cheese on the kids' meal is to die for...and they'll let you order it as a side item. the cheesecake is top-notch, as is the calamari. the atmosphere is calm and inviting, and the employees are great. we eat there as often as possible...
