after tiring day at college i was returning home with a hungry stomach , i have passed by this restaurant and wanted to try it's biriyani for long time since i was very hungry yesterday i stopped by it at 8 30 pm the hotel was empty and servers where sitting and chatting i thought about leaving but still hunger won i ordered a chicken biriyani parcel and took home . seriously saying i have never had this bad experience ! the chicken wasn't cooked properly and thequantityyou can say we can hardly have 6 spoons and tasted like shit ! i made my mom cook and ate at 11 and slept ! horrible experience never dine here

went to this hotel after seeing big hype for this place in a video. i didn't see anything special here. i had mutton biriyani. i personally felt the food was good, mediumquantityand they didn't provide many pieces. it felt like they have compensated lessquantitywith a sweet. sweet tasted good. though food was okay, i was not satisfied for 180rs that i paid. can decrease the prices.

my father brought mutton biryani from this place near his office.we had it for dinner. even though it was bought during afternoon the biryani was too tasty. the spices were perfect. some packets contained less meat compared to the others. thequantitywas perfect and enough. the meat was cooked perfectly and it was tender .one of the best mutton biryani's i've ever had.

the taste and flavour of kalyana biriyani completely gone. thequantityis very less. also the sweet used to be very nice. but now very bad

hi today i visit chennai so i try to taste some good biryani in egmore side so i have watched youtube so near by there is a kalyan bavan biryani hotel i got it so went there at the entrance only i seems like odd the guy in cashier counter he don't have any sence about hospitality front of customers only irrespective with delivary guys who come to pick up the order and there is other guy restaurant inside only comping he's hair, and no mask also still the biryani tast is v. good but rate of 260 it's not worthy may be this muchquantityand and quality can accept for 180₹ maximum that's it.

take andquantitywas fine with the food but there are only 2 small pieces and one bone was in the biriyani which i didn't expect at all i won't accept this as mutton biriyani and i would still consider this as plain biriyani only, won't order again. thank you

dear zomato, please update the new menu card photos with the increased prices. not taste, not reputation, not the price. above everything when one goes to satisfy their hunger to a hotel. when you serve very lessquantityagainst the price we are paying the owner bags loads of sin, coz we are left half hungry. following rituals, attending prayers on a friday, and also a rule that they won't serve food for customer till their owner completes his friday afternoon prayers. but if your sole purpose of being in this business seems only the money. but that is not the case since you are serving food to hungry people at a price.

after a few of my friends suggested me to try out the biryani here, as they said it has a "marriage walla biryani taste" as the name suggests, i gave it a shot.
so i loved the biryani taste here, even the mutton pieces were nicely cooked and tender. even the chicken biryani has a really nice flavor. haven't tried their 65 biryani yet.
haven't been to the restaurant, so can't comment anything on the ambience or dine in experience.
only con is the price we are paying is pretty high for thequantityof biryani. although the taste of the biryani is amazing and u won't be disappointed.

kalyana bhavan biryani - in between a muslim wedding biryani and typical chennai biryani. we cannot it move it to either of the category fully.
the flavor was 65% matching with muslim wedding biryani and 35% chennai biryani, because, it was more spicy than a wedding biryani.
coming to the price, it was not having thequantitycompared to the price, but the taste was good, but not wonderful. not enough pieces on the biryani, which was a little disappointing. also, the pieces available is mostly full of bones. no much flesh.
coming to chicken 65, it is not boneless. also, thequantityis comparitively lesser.
if you want to have the flavor of both chennai and bhai biryani, you can go for it.
the location was in a congested area due to which, you cannot go on car and have a lunch. either, you have to go to get a parcel or to park somewhere else and come here for dining in.

ordered mutton biriyani, chicken 65 biriyani and chicken 65.. worth for the money.. great taste... great flavour.. served hot.. thoughquantitylooks less.. but satisfies one good eater...

had lunch at this place on a sunday. by 2 pm, only mutton biriyani was available. so ordered one.quantitywas good. service was quick.

mutton pieces were cooked well. coming to the taste, biriyani was very dry. as it was very spicy, i couldn't enjoy it.

today i ordered mutton biriyani for the first time in this hotel.
positive:quantityis good and onion and brinjal gravy tastes ok.
negative: in mutton biriyani only bones are there in my order. there is no biriyani taste it's like tomato rice.

i strongly not recommend this hotel
