herbs & rye

we just celebrated my beautiful ones birthday here. my only draw back was i couldn't take any photos because it was so dark. however, the food and the ambience don't need much to show or describe it. why because thisplaceleft me speechless. menu is awesome, drinks explosive. we where a party of six we ordered all over the menu. well worth it can guarantee you will love it.

herbs & rye is a dark and dimly lit restaurant & lounge located about 7 minutes off the strip. the menu consists of classic american & italian fare like juicy steaks and pasta. additionally herbs & rye's massive menu of handcrafted cocktails is arranged by the period of which the cocktail was made famous. 

we sipped on cocktails from the "prohibition era," spanning from 1920-1933. this is a late night spot. a perfectplacefor a late dinner and night cap cocktail. they close at 3 am.

cocktails: the rat pack and the hemingway are great options!
food: calamari, steak and potatoes are delish!

heavily praised for an extensive era-specific list of craft cocktails with a menu full of sustainable organic meats and plates far more interesting than the average bar or lounge herbs & rye had long been aplaceof interest and with recent reports suggesting the kitchen to be firing on all cylinders i finally decided to stop by, a saturday feast for one in the dimly-lit dining area my reward for eschewing alternative plans on las vegas boulevard south. designed in a style somewhere between “old time vegas”

all and all this is a good restaurant with price points of a better restaurant. some of our dinner was just "ok". while other parts were great. i'd like to see them take their salads to a proper level.

with that in mind, thisplacehas great ambiance and better service. great late night spot! which is probably what drives the costs. however as a local, it may be a while before i roll back here. not that i'd be opposed. but there better or more creative late night options.

thisplacewas excellent just what we needed. we had just had a few cocktails at dcr and came down to herbs and rye to eat at it was great ,service was excellent , and the cocktail were impecable. the best in the city with out any question. thisplaceis a must try!!!!

this is a must try the food is excellent and the cocktails are great. the feel of theplaceis wonderful. very very old vegas.

great atmosphere. herbs & rye is a greatplaceto come for cocktails. they have a great selection of drinks and a long bar with an old vegas feel. the food was very expensive (slightly overpriced) but if you come in for the happy hour i think it's well worth the trip.

wow what a night at herbs and rye what started off as a simple dinner date at herbs and rye ended up being " the hangover 2 " i could not stop drinking there cocktails.they were amazing. the food i order was great but back to the cocktails they were great my date and i ended up a little to tipsy so they called us a cab. i think the owner paid the cabbie and told use to just get home safe lol. i'll have to pay him back. thanks for the good times guys.

just left herbs and rye a little bit ago and it was excellent theplaceis not what i expected at all from the out side it looks like a whole in the wall. but once inside it was a complete shock the walls had burgandy velvet wall paper with a deep wood color bar. we ate at the bar and were blown away by are barmans knowledge and politeness. he definitly made our experiance. he guided use threw the menu and pointed use in the right direction. we for the first time had a meal paired with cocktails and not wine and it was great to say the least we will be regulars to herbs and rye.

not so great. sorry, but the service was very slow, food was cold and i was over charged for drinks not received. the waiter appears to have had no experience. theplaceis beautifully decorated but, the bar was crowded and noisy.

great gnocchi. thisplaceserves great and nice sized italian food with a great cocktail selection. also has a great ambiance and decor. the flatbreads and gnocchi with meat sauce were delicious, yet a little pricey.

this is a greatplaceto eat and have drinks. the food is excellent and there are a lot of cocktails to choose from. kitchen is open late which is great after a night out on the las vegas strip. the calamri is probably one of my favorite things on the menu. the service is great and the staff is very friendly.
