a wonderful combination of everything done-right!. where do i start?hazellewood'shas become one of my absolute favorites.
they've got the best wings around, in my opinion, because they're unique. rather than fried and drenched in sauce,hazellewood'sgrills their wings and adds a fabulous herb/cheese sprinkle. they're served with a santa fe sauce or ranch on the side. love!
their beef tenderloin & bleu fondue is absolutely out of this world. seared beef chunks accompanied by roasted tomatoes and toasted sourdough - all to be enjoyed with a generous dip of their amazing amablu cheese sauce. it's a meal in itself, and a delightfully well-rounded experience with one of michael's well-chosen wines.
oh, and speaking of wine... monday nights are the night to go tohazellewood'sif you're a lover of the grape. their wine list is very, very well-done, and if you're indecisive, just ask michael (hazellewood's absolutely amazing sommelier) for his recommendation. everything he selects is wonderful, so you can't go wrong.
i could go on forever about their menu items... chicken lettuce wraps: fabulous! jambalaya: inspiring! cesar and chop salads: flavorful and fresh! burgers: best in the business! then there are wonderful surprises like their homemade ketchup and their banana cream pie - i guarantee they're not what you think they are!
i would definitely recommendhazellewood'sif you're looking for a place to enjoy with others. on one side, it's a perfectly romantic date night location (our favorite spot is right next to the fireplace!). on the other, it's a great family-friendly venue.
entertaining? whether dining with business associates or family, with a few or a few dozen,hazellewood'sis wonderfully accommodating and their menu offers something for every palate. i celebrated my 40th birthday in their party room, and it was a hit with all my guests.
hazellewood's is now where we celebrate everything, or just every day, because the staff treats you like family and, while there's always something new, it's refreshingly familiar. their mission is to be a great neighborhood place, and they've accomplished that mission brilliantly. highest commendations all-around!
