hazellewood grill & tap room

seriously some of the best food i've ever had. it is also decently priced. we had excellent service and the food came out right away. loved it!

my wife and i celebrated our anniversary at hazellewood grill last night. the food was very good. however, when i called for reservations i was told we would have a booth in the dining room and this was a special night as it was our anniversary celebration. we instead got a table for 4 in a overflow room. no mention that it was our anniversary. the service was just ok. i was disappointed with our reception.

great place! you won't be disappointed good and atmosphere wonderful . lori and her whole staff are wonderful people . we have never had a bad meal or had to send anything back for a " redo" will always go back!

great happy hour from 4-7 with deals on small plates. brie burger sliders, deviled eggs with fried shrimp (odd but good), mac and cheese balls, wings. loaded bloody mary needed more zing.

this is our favorite neighborhood restaurant and it's not even in our neighborhood.  i've tried many things on the menu which are great but i can't stop eating the huevos rancheros and gouda hash browns.  my sons love the kids mac and cheese and donut french toast. hazellewood's offers a comfortable atmosphere and a great staff.  frankly my family of 4 can eat more reasonably here than some of the new self service places that are popping up where you fight to find an open table while juggling your meal, drinks, kids and plasticware.

restaurant 1/3 short on catering order and refused refund!! horrible service under new management.. if i could give negative scoring i would!! this restaurant was 1/3 short on their catering order and we had 40 women at an event not get food. mind you these were women and i watched them all eat like birds!! they then told us it was our fault and we must have had people over eating. they refused to refund us for the 40 meals not provided! not to mention the fresh cranberry relish they promised to provide was diluted and had sugar added making into a dessert sauce (obviously they were trying to stretch it). we also had to pick up the food ourselves. i am so angry. i will tell everyone about this experience. do not support this business! hazelwood grill, women talk and you now have 140 women in the area talking about your poor service and failure to deliver.

tacky. we have always liked hazellewood and have been there numerous times. however, last night was the first time we ordered something takeout. we ordered dessert to go because we had out 18 month old with us and his patience was running out. upon receiving the bill, i noticed a $.50 charge for to go. not that $.50 is the issue, it is just tacky. think about it this way; if the restaurant was crowded and we left 10 minutes early because we did not sit there and eat our dessert, the restaurant would make 10 fold that amount in sitting another table right away. just poor taste for a fairly nice restaurant.

new favorite. the food was delicious! yes the prices are that of a higher end restaurant but their food is worthy of the cost. everything made from scratch, top quality. we had filet mignon, pork chops and banana cream pie for dessert. the smoked gouda au gratin potatoes are worthy of many repeat trips! this was one of the best meals i've had in the last few years. our wait-person was friendly, knowledgable and helpful in making our choices.

we went yesterday for breakfast and met our 28 year old daughter. tim, tim and tim we all love this place! gouda hashbrowns were amazing, we want to go back next weekend but it us easter, but will definatly be back in two weeks. service was great too! thanks hazellewood....

my wife and i visited hazelwood with no idea what to expect. we drove up to the location noticing it is located in a strip mall. we were seated very quickly, with the hostess giving very little thought and appreciation. things turned around from there. it was busy, the crew kept things going and didn't miss a beat. we were tested to popovers with a hazelnut butter spread. my wife and i ordered an appetizer of sweet potato cakes with a sugar walnut glaze, which was absolutely amazing. the main course, i enjoyed broiled salmon with a garlic basil oil. they offered four different ways to cook your fish. the vegetable was bok choi. the taste was pretty good, but a little to cooked. my wife had the special of bbq halabit with sweet corn risotto and slaw. she was all smiles, make me all smiles. no dessert, so the portions were perfect! we probably could of had dessert, we both had ice cream for three straight day on our own. so we chose not to partake in the sweet tooth category. overall... great time!

worth the drive. for special occasions, we like to visit restaurants in different areas of the twin cities. hazellewood was worth the drive from lakeville for our 23rd anniversary. the broiled walleye was the best we've had in years, the skewered tenderloins with fondue cheese sauce were amazing, and who doesn't love popovers hot and fresh from the oven? the service and attention from jackie and adam was special and made our evening memorable. we highly recommend this restaurant!

happy hour good - other things lacking. we've been here three times in the past few months and recommend it to others. hh is limited, but the steak bites and deep fried pickles are worth the trip. really dislike their idea of wings as they are baked and seasoned with parmesean cheese - indicative of their overall lack on spice on their menu. my teenagers love their burgers but think their fries are terrible (cold and soggy on two different occasions). my guys love the popovers. their website says they have 1/2 price wine monday nights, but when we went there, they said they don't do that anymore as of jan 1. i just looked today - in feb - and the website still says 1/2 price wine on mondays. not a good sign when mgmt won't honor their own ads.

excellent breakfast. i took the family here for sunday breakfast, and it was excellent. everything was prepared extremely well, my only gripe is that the eggs in the florentine benedict were poached too long- yolks were a bit too solid for my taste (but very good otherwise).
in addition, i recommend the gouda hash browns and the french toast. and don't pass up the $2 mimosas- how can you beat that?

great atmosphere and good food. our wait staff was attentive and jovial and knew how to provide good service. the food was good. you won't find haute cuisine but you'll still leave satisfied. don't forget to ask for a second round of popovers!
