it was late after pub-hopping and we were famished. hence we decided to try out some chinese. i did not have chinese for a long time and i was determined to try some duck this time.
happy seasons is a usual chinese eatery, not very posh, not dirty either. the seating seemed a bit crowded, but it did not matter as all we wanted was some food.
it was late at night so heavy was not an option, hence we ordered quarter duck and two soups, chicken-sweet-corn and seafood-tom-tum. i fancied some dim-sums but they would have taken at least 15 minutes, hence considered otherwise.
the soups were average, nothing great to talk about, and i felt the portion was small.
the duck was perfect though. great taste and crispiness, the rice pancakes were nice too. i was very much satisfied.
ambiance was ok sort of. like i said, the seating is crowded, and the place is full of students mostly. but then this is not your fine-dine restaurant.
service was not good per se; could be improved a lot on the warmth factor.
