had indian on my mind tonight so decided to give this place a go. has an exceptionally high rating on zomato so felt like i would have to fit this place in during my trip. on a wednesday we thought that we could just walk in and grab a seat, however it was buzzing with people, and for good reason. we were told that they had to clear some tables before being seated, so they directed us to a table to wait. we had a couple of menus to peruse over, and decided to order a couple of drinks. we were only waiting no more than 10 mins before a table was found. tonight i was able to try their signature butter chicken dish, their beef vindaloo and garlic naan. the two mains were some of the best indian dishes i've tasted. the butter chicken was fragrant, with spices jumping out, making you question what the composition was. the vindaloo didn't disappoint either, with a nice amount of spice which was perfectly balanced, as not to take away from the spices (being a vindaloo it was hot in nature). i felt like the garlic naan could do with a bit more garlic, however that is my only one little gripe. service was excellent, and the venue is exquisite. prices are towards the upper limit for indian cuisine, however for the flavors provided, the price is justified. will definitely be coming back to this restaurant if i find myself indarwinagain.
