great for people watching .. none too shabby pizza and wine either!. i had an opportunity to grab pizza and wine here recently with a good friend of mine. there aren't too many spots in downtown phoenix within walking distance of evening events that also stay open that late and this is definitely one of the nicer and more lively ones.

fresh and light ambience to the place and good set of people to chat to or just to people watch.

give the elevator shaft a try but not after you've had a really heavy pizza nor too much wine!

haloween worthy dining. i dined here recently on a monday night. as soon as my party sat down, i was unerved by the surroundings. it reminded me of the movie the shining. the atmosphere is oppressive. my guests each went to their respective (male/female) restrooms after dinner, and wanted to leave as soon as they returned. they were actually scared. admitedly the food was good, but atmosphere will preclude any return visit...at least at night.

hanny's for lunch.... awesome. in the heart of downtown phoenix in a renovated department store. the atmosphere is great, service was great, and the food was excellent.

the menu is small - pizza - salads - sandwiches. the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer is outstanding. i had the roast beef sandwich. all very good. if you are looking to have a cocktail at lunch they have a drink menu that is very reasonably priced.

highly recommend this place.

pricey but tasty. several items on the menu seemed to have the same ingredients so if you are not a fan of italian meats this is not your place. on the flip side if you are a fan you should have plenty of options.
