great food. i've been to hammerhead's twice, and the food is truly special overall. it's obvious these chefs know what they're doing; this is probably the best food i've ever eaten for the price. i've tried the elk burger and the venison burger. the ingredients for both were top notch. my only complaint is the meat was over-seasoned both times. the duck-fat fries are outstanding. their barbecue sauce is delicious as well. i'll definitely be back over and over again! thanks for being in louisville, hammerheads!

burgers and fries like the bomb. yo, the meat up in this place is like "ahww man" totes off the hook. elk burger i'm like dude this tastes like ya got the thing strung up in the back! everybody else is hatin' saying "bad service pleh" but i'm like, get a beer and stfu. these guys are real cool dudes who are real to you and make some badass grippo fries. make me up a batch of that aioli stuff so i can take it home and smother it on some chicken wings!

tucked away in a residential neighborhood, this restaurant offers an equally unique menu. i had the elk burger and duck-fried garlic fries and both had exquisite flavors that will keep this restauant on my favorites list when in louisville area. if you are a local-come here; out of towner-come-here.

lamb burger. went to hammerheads last night for the first time, and i had the special lamb burger with pesto and brie cheese on a pretzel bun. it was so damn good. and pbr is a $1.50!

good food. unique atmosphere. cramped space. less than par service. one working toilet, the other was horrid.

awesome food, bad service. the food here is great. period. the service is very poor. most of the servers have a self entitled attitude, and express it outwardly. i have been here numerous times, and they only have one good server who knows how to be kind to customers. (the taller guy with a beard.)

get some freekin air conditioning! ! must be 90 degrees in there and they don't give a crap. go someplace else.
food is ok but hot as hell all the time so it sucks.

omg the food is amazing ..... but wow it is way to hot inside to enjoy eating it,was 95 inside we were all sweating could not get enough napkins to wipe off the sweat

amazing food. the pblt is like heaven on a plate. wish the atomosphere was a bit less cramped, hot, and loud, but it was tolerable given how great the food was.

its back!!. somebody got control of the service, its back to its original greatness. run don't walk to this place if you really like great food and fine beer.

wow. truffle oil on everything from the fries to the mac and cheese, absolutely decadent. in a little basement in germantown, it seems to be a better atmosphere after dark. throw a dart at the menu and you won't leave disappointed. as much a beerhound alert as cumberland brews and their wings.

unique place. my boyfriend absolutely loves this place. we recently took some guests and everybody chowed down like a bunch of little piggies. i have to say the veggie tacos and grippo fries are really good. even though they have vegetarian options, i would not characterize this as a vegetarian restaurant. their menu primarily consists of carnivorous options such as bison burgers, pork, and duck. they have a large selection of craft beer which is great for beer drinkers. unfortunately, beer is all they have so don't go there for a drink if you don't like beer. the atmosphere is great but they aren't customer focused. it's kind of a "we'll take your order when we can and you'll get your food when it's ready" kind of place. ultimately it's worth the wait, but if you can't relax and chill out with a drink while you wait, don't go.

true louisville flavor!. i brought my husband here for his birthday. it was a very busy night, but we were seated within 10 min which was great! i love the atmosphere and the food....oh my goodness: i had the pulled duck, and my husband had the chorizo burger, both delicious. i do wish there was a hostess, but one of the bartenders came and made sure we had a table. we will always bring out-of-town guests here!

the vibe was great, loud late-grunge and 90's alt rock was on the radio. the food was prepared with care, the chefs are incredible. this was my first trip to louisville, i'm sad that we don't have this exact loud crowded dive restaurant in denver. this type of place may not appeal to everyone, i'm in my late 20's and it's right up my generations alley.
