simply amazing. hands down one of the best steakhouses in charleston. from the time we walked in front of the place to the time we left, we were well greeted and assisted by the owners and staff. the environment looks classy, but its a very mellow and calm. they seated us, showed us the wine list, and gave us a short demo of their choices of steak for the night.
i ordered a hall's new york strip. my colleague orders a boned-in rib eye. my other colleague was a vegan, but the staff was very knowledgeable on what items from the menu he was able to eat. they explained their degrees of cooling of steak, so you wont be guessing if they will under or overcook it. once the steaks arrive, they ask to have you check if it cooked to your liking, which they were.
as for taste, they were simply amazing. i very much loved it. the steak was very flavorful and tender. the appetizers and vegetables were very tasty. the thing that surprised me the most was this place is very hospitable, the owners themselves hand-served the appetizers, which were ordered for the table rather than the individual, to me and my colleagues.
the place is slightly pricey, but it is well worth going if you have some money to splurge or to celebrate an occasion.
