hakkasan - emirates palace

i remember the first time i ate at hakkassan's very first establishment just off tottenham court road in london. it is still as delicious today even when eating it in my home town of abu dhabi ! yes it is pricy but you are paying to be eating top quality chinese food in the most prestigious location in abu dhabi. especially when your seated outside when weather permits and have the ability to drive directly to the back entrance and valet your car - the whole experience gives you the nice fuzzy feeling of class and finesse which warrants the price tag of not only the food but the overall customer experience. the key to not get stuck with a huge bill is to plan your meal wisely ! my all time favourites are the dim sum platter and duck salad for starters then followed by the chicken satay and lobster with black bean for my main. the service is top notch, the cocktails are amazing as well - try the hakka with or without alcohol depending on how you roll. superb place to bring a date or close friends !

not impressed. i have not much to say about the food which was of good quality but nothing justifiying the price tags. however the main let down was the service as it was sloppy and not attentive. having to pour myself the wine became a practice and staff was most of the time busy chatting. prices? outrageous......or people have lost sense of money or i don't know what to say but converting the prices into euro guarantees me a seat in top 3star michelin restaurants back home. as is said for that amount of money you expect nothing less than perfection. happy note the very welcoming receptionist.

we attended an exclusive preview of afternoon tea at hakkasan abu dhabi. afternoon tea menu is now available from 3pm – 6pm daily throughout the course of the year (excluding ramadan). the new menu showcases hakkasan’s trademark tea menu, providing local residents and tourists with chance to sample an array of speciality asian teas alongside a selection of desserts including their soon to-be popular macarons and chocolate marquise as well as the chef’s signature dim sum.

elegant and chic place. the food is very nice and the ambiance is trendy. nice smoking section and you can smoke cigars! :)
although poor service!!

the ultimate in town .. service beyond expectations, food is selectively prepared at your taste, you don't hear the word "no".. the dine in is customised for your privacy with big areas for large groups .... my favourite staff there is "own" with his big smile 👍👍👍

a good restaurant with a premium location. usually the food taste is quite challenged under these circumstances, but hakkasan has accomplished this challenge with success. definitely a must go restaurant!

was wondering how a restaurant maintains a ranking of 4.8 after being around so long and having so many reviews. i no longer have to wonder. excellence in everything. our waiter soe was wonderful and his recommendations were spot on. the wagyu beef ribs were superb. the dim sums were great. the peking duck was perfection. the dj music was just right, not too overwhelming. the only downer for the evening was the soft shell crab with chicken floss. didn't go well together but other than that everything was delightful. i now wonder why they are missing the 0.2 points from making the perfect score.

zuì hǎo de, translated the best in chinese. hakkasan, it is "the best" chinese i have tried so far in abu dhabi. dined there, as we were staying in emirates palace.

loved the blue tint in the decor. big place, yet cozy. welcoming but bit too dark for me.
we were pleased, that they were playing buddha bar music. nice compliment to the scene. all staff were nice and friendly and ready to assist you with all your needs. we had the sommelier serving our champagne. it's been a while, i have seen them in restaurants.

we tried scallop, stuffed with prawn it was a fantastic start. i can say it was the best scallop i tried in abu dhabi, or rather in uae. salt and pepper squid was in par with the scallops. roasted duck with cashew nut was a bit tough but still tasted good. seafood fried rice was really salty. since i'm not big fan of rice, didn't bother to try more.
over all the quality of ingredients were really high, whilst the presentation could have been better.
in general we had an enjoyable experience.
definitely will come again and highly recommend the place.

keep up the quality "hakkasan" it's worthy.

beautiful place at an even gorgeous location. i was skeptical on getting anything veggie. but i was wrong. not only was there choice it was really well made. the dimsums, oriental salad, tofu and noodles all were great. better half enjoyed the seafood selection. dessert options and presentation both were amazing. of course it's expensive but then you are at emirates palace right!!

hakkasan is hakkasan, whether it's in dubai, london or ad. very consistent with their concept, design and menus.
a place to treat yourself & loved ones to or impress a business partner.

wasn't too impressed with their mains during the brunch hence only 4.5 :)

i had the most lovely birthday meal here! everything surpassed expectations and was stunning. worth every penny.

the short ribs and soft shell crab are amazing.
only thing i wouldn't order again is the calamari as i felt that was average.

the starters are always hands down my favourite :) and the spoilt me with my birthday cake!

average! nothing more, nothing less.

at a high end place like hakkasan one has certain expectations regarding the quality of the food, even if it is the friday brunch. 
the food was certainly nice, but absolutely nothing special. while my opinion might not be relevant it was confirmed by the chinese guy in our crew who suggested he had eaten better elsewhere too.

any dish that stood out? nope! any dish i remember? nope! singapore street noodles (eaten a year ago) - better at pf changs,

i had my birthday celebration here; beautiful place and amazing interior. the food is exceptional; and come with a full wallet because you will be enjoying the food not minding what you will pay!

4.5 because a 5 should be reserved for the gods of cuisine but this one really ticks all the boxes for a fantastic dining and hang out with elegance, mixology at the bar, refined chinese food in your plate, fantastic interior design and great music, service is outstanding too ... one of those tip top places
