we are always interested in middleeasternfood, so trying haji-baba was an easy decision.  we lucked out and were seated immediately, since soon there was a line.  my wife ordered the combination combination, a bit of everything.  she was very happy, it was all very good.  i had the kibbi plate, since they sounded interesting with bulgar wheat and pine nuts.   it was very tasty, but needed the generous portion of yogurt salad to provide moisture.  our only knock is the service was a little lacking, but we would still return for another meal.

amazing mideasternfalafil. i have to say consistently haji-baba never disappoints me. while i can't say i've ventured to try their menu extensively, they have amazing falafil sandwiches at the best prices in town. as a matter of fact, while they offer the best falafil i've had, they are also the cheapest i've ever had as well!

their location is a small restaurant seen when passing on the light rail. outside, there is not much to see, but inside it is a combo restaurant and grocery store, offering your mid-eastern favorites. as a matter of fact, this place is authentic enough, you could order in arabic from most of those in the kitchen and at the counter!

i definitely recommend and wish i could like it more than with one thumb up.

yummy. haji-baba was our first middleeasternrestaurant and we really liked it. the food was delicious and the service was kind of slow but it was worth waiting for.

small place, big selection!. the sign out front may be sun faded and easy to miss as you drive by, but the inside is alive and thriving! haji-baba offers solid, down-home mediterranean/middleeasternfood at very reasonable prices and the well-equipped store make this a worthwhile stop for any ethnic food lover.

one half of haji-baba is a small, tightly packed ethnic food store. the other half is a small, tightly packed restaurant. while space is certainly limited on both sides, the selection at haji-baba is huge!

the store side features everything from large pans of fresh-baked pastries and desserts behind the counter to rows of hard to find spices and aisles of rare, imported ingredients at prices that make exotic cooking at home reasonable for the casual cook like me!

the restaurant side delivers good, authentic food at acceptable prices. none of the menu items are particularly unique and the overall quality of the food tends to match the cafe styling more than fine dining, but all of the dishes i've tried have been well portioned and tasty! space is very limited, though, so groups larger than 4-6 aren't suggested.

don't hesitate to stop here if you're in the area! even if you're not hungry, haji-baba has a lot to offer!

ive been to iraq and afghanistan and this place is the closest authentic middleeasternfood i've found. they really do need more staff though it was super busy and took along time to get food.

nicely seasoned chicken on a spit, served with a delicious garlic mayonnaise, a nice toasted pita, and generous portions of rice, hummus, and tabouleh, this is one of the better middleeasterncombos i’ve had short of dearborn, mi.

inexpesive generous portions. we've been going here for a few years. the food is always good. the store that is attached to the restaurant has a wide selection of foods that are difficult to find anywhere else and you can't beat the prices on herbs and spices. the staff is very helpful even when they are busy. they even carry a french feta that is heavenly.

even if you don't like middleeasternfoods, i recommend stocking your pantry with their herbs such as parsley, cumin, coriander which are unbelievably inexpensive and fresh.

cheap and good!. i love haji-baba. they have really good gyro meat and their chicken shawarma is a must try! i also like their hummus and homemade pita's! the location is different because its in a little middleeasterngrocery store/restaurant, but i like that its different than the run of the mill restaurant. and the prices are good!

me and mom had high hopes for this restaurant after reading the positive reviews. the place definitely isn't the most scenic but that would have been fine if the food was good. i got the veggie plater and my mom got the falafel platter. the food was bland to say the least and didn't taste like authentic middleeasternfood. i would not bother going back. haris pita grill oss 10 times better and much more authentic
