visited there for authentic south indian food and loved it.. they have large variety of dishes andtasteis perfect.. it’s generally crowded during weekends..

today we thought of eating the best south indian food and after doing a little searching we chose to enjoy lunch food at gwalia vannkam restaurant.
gwalia vannkam best place for south indian food, which offers all kinds of decent south indian food with unlimited buffet. fast service, each food variety was served at the buffet table with proper temperature.
our visit to gwalior vanakkam was a wonderful and memorable experience. the interior of the hotel, the furniture, the temperature was wonderful. the response from the restaurant staff was great and explained everything from the reception to the buffet table.
there was a very good soft two types of idli.
mysore bunda was good. had fun with hot sambar, rasam, three types chutney, pickle. the papads here were also different but thetastewas good
the three types of dosa made in butter were found to be enjoyable. so far this has been enjoyed in kerala and now authentictasteare served here.
the veg corma was very tasty and the malabar paratha was soft soft , hot. jain test is also available separately in veg corma.
the saffron rice was sweet and nice, it tasted like soji sheera.
the curd rice was served with pomegranate. this curd rice is the best for those who love curd.
tomato rice was the first time i really tested such atastebut it was fun.
it was a lot of fun to taste, the first time i tasted mixed veg porial test and it was fun. added coconut and vegetable with rice . i will order this mix veg porial again separately and enjoy the test.
in a nutshell , the gujaratis were also given a great taste.
this is the best place for you if you are an authentic south indian food lover. please visit once with family and remember me if the food tastes good.

we we had a birthday dinner party of my uncle and were around 26+ people . it was amazing experience. the food was awesomely delicious as most of us had opted in for buffet dinner. thetasteof the food is awesome. apart from buffet they serves lives dosa (3types) at dinner table. i would say i had one of the best dosa in recent times . the curd rice they had in the menu reminded me of the one i had in karnataka. on top of it they provided good services. i highly recommend this one for family dinners.

we had buffet dinner at gwalia vanakkam which was priced at ₹349/-. menu has wide varieties of south indian cuisines and lovedtasteof each and every item. the staff was very courteous and prompt to serve. refilling was quick and upon making something hot they were serving on the table. loved their korma, paysam, varieties of idli, rasam and idiappam.

the dosa was too hard as it was not rolled in foil paper, the edges were unable to break and eat..

the tomato chatni served was stinking, it was not fresh, thetastewas so bad.. i need a refund for this as it was not worth the price.. quality was poor ..tastewas not good

first thing first. ambiance of this place is so elegent with pleasant décor. they literally transport you to udupi town. 🌴

the one & only place in ahmedabad which is serving authentic south indian buffet. you can get 3 types of dosa, 4 types of utthappam, rasam, sambhar, idli wada, malabar paratha, korma, appam, 3 types of flavoured rice and desserts priced at 349/- only. and that's a great deal 💯 we are impressed with thetasteand quality of food. we highly recommend you guys to visit this place. this place is the heaven for south indian food lovers. 🙌🏻

one of the best place to try authentic south indian! the ambience is too good also thetasteis too delicious 😋. we've tried an unlimited buffet at just 349/- which is worth it ✅. like i've enjoyed a lot there seriously guys do try once 🍽️😋

the food and ambience is definately very good. thetasteof the food is good but not something that is not found at other south indian restaurants in ahmedabad. definately a value for money of one chooses the buffet lunch because the spread is large. the staff is pretty helpful and cordial. definately a one time must go

this place is always great, visited many times in the past. but post lockdown it has changed it seems. the amazing authentictastewas missing, i went for buffet menu, it was not balanced as before.tastehas disappointed me, there is change of hands for sure.

service was amazing, very polite attentive and caring staff. gave tip only for service and not for food.

they should do something to go back to thetasteand quality what they had before lockdown

the service provided by the staff was exceptional. also the foodtastewas awesome. special thanks to bandana and abhilasha for making such a large group of ours comfortable. great place 👌

thetasteof dosa is not good. doesn't seems like authentic south indian. also the behaviour of manager was rude.

they don't even know thetasteof sambhar! the chutneys were okayish else everything was horrible ! it's is a big no no! could barely complete the dish

ordered for the first time ghee dosa - was good intasteand very crispy .. ambience is good but gets very crowded and slow in service ... there is still scope of improvement in samber they prepare

this is one of the best places for traditional south indian food in the city. ambiance and theme designed very well to complement the food. we had chili onion uttapam, mysore sada dosa and mysore masala dosa. they serve 5 types of chutneys.tastewas very good, authentic. people who  used to eat "gujarati south indian food" will find the food less spicy here.
