we recently visited gwalia vannakam.

starting for the ambience, it was all magnificent.

i was shocked looking at the amount of people on a very odd day.

yes the restaurant is full all the time.

we opted for thebuffetoption and we were amazed by their malabar parothas, their rasam and sambhar was just delicious and was just perfect.

my visit to gwalia vannakam just made me remind of my old south india memories.

this can be a anytime go to place for all south indian food lover.

today we thought of eating the best south indian food and after doing a little searching we chose to enjoy lunch food at gwalia vannkam restaurant.
gwalia vannkam best place for south indian food, which offers all kinds of decent south indian food with unlimited buffet. fast service, each food variety was served at thebuffettable with proper temperature.
our visit to gwalior vanakkam was a wonderful and memorable experience. the interior of the hotel, the furniture, the temperature was wonderful. the response from the restaurant staff was great and explained everything from the reception to thebuffettable.
there was a very good soft two types of idli.
mysore bunda was good. had fun with hot sambar, rasam, three types chutney, pickle. the papads here were also different but the taste was good
the three types of dosa made in butter were found to be enjoyable. so far this has been enjoyed in kerala and now authentic taste are served here.
the veg corma was very tasty and the malabar paratha was soft soft , hot. jain test is also available separately in veg corma.
the saffron rice was sweet and nice, it tasted like soji sheera.
the curd rice was served with pomegranate. this curd rice is the best for those who love curd.
tomato rice was the first time i really tested such a taste but it was fun.
it was a lot of fun to taste, the first time i tasted mixed veg porial test and it was fun. added coconut and vegetable with rice . i will order this mix veg porial again separately and enjoy the test.
in a nutshell , the gujaratis were also given a great taste.
this is the best place for you if you are an authentic south indian food lover. please visit once with family and remember me if the food tastes good.

we we had a birthday dinner party of my uncle and were around 26+ people . it was amazing experience. the food was awesomely delicious as most of us had opted in forbuffetdinner. the taste of the food is awesome. apart frombuffetthey serves lives dosa (3types) at dinner table. i would say i had one of the best dosa in recent times . the curd rice they had in the menu reminded me of the one i had in karnataka. on top of it they provided good services. i highly recommend this one for family dinners.

its a quite good place for south indian but they serve the samebuffetmenu ; korma / malabar paratha
i have never seen anything new in theirbuffetmenu.

we hadbuffetdinner at gwalia vanakkam which was priced at ₹349/-. menu has wide varieties of south indian cuisines and loved taste of each and every item. the staff was very courteous and prompt to serve. refilling was quick and upon making something hot they were serving on the table. loved their korma, paysam, varieties of idli, rasam and idiappam.

visiting here has become a regular for my family. theirbuffetis delicious and the value for money is high. their masala dosa,veg korma and malabari porotha is amazing. i have even had their filter coffee which i loved.

one of the best place to try authentic south indian! the ambience is too good also the taste is too delicious 😋. we've tried an unlimitedbuffetat just 349/- which is worth it ✅. like i've enjoyed a lot there seriously guys do try once 🍽️😋

the food and ambience is definately very good. the taste of the food is good but not something that is not found at other south indian restaurants in ahmedabad. definately a value for money of one chooses thebuffetlunch because the spread is large. the staff is pretty helpful and cordial. definately a one time must go

we would definitely visit again with family & friends to explore new dishes.

this place is always great, visited many times in the past. but post lockdown it has changed it seems. the amazing authentic taste was missing, i went forbuffetmenu, it was not balanced as before. taste has disappointed me, there is change of hands for sure.

service was amazing, very polite attentive and caring staff. gave tip only for service and not for food.

they should do something to go back to the taste and quality what they had before lockdown

my love for south indian food and all the good reviews dragged me to this place and it stood up to my expectations.

we had thebuffetfor ₹399 + taxes per person.
there were a variety of dishes to try. they served dosas and uttapams made according to our choices.
although the place serves amazing south indian delicacies, they also had a parantha and sabzi and both were too good! also the masala idli (don't remember the name) was amazing! didn't like the curd rice too much because of my dislike for curd, but it was not bad at all. everyone has different tastes. the uttapam tasted good and the halwa of course was really tasty!

a must visit place if you want to try good south indian food.

so we went for thebuffetoption which provided us a vast variety of options and the staff made us understand how to eat or combine the different food items to have better taste. staff was really very friendly. a must visit for a south indian food lover and the filter coffee is a try-worthy thing!

a great option for people wanting south indian apart from sankalp in ahmedabad. the food quality is great. sambhar, idli, vada, dosa and the uttapam taste authentic ! we went for thebuffeton a sunday. here’s my review:

the south indianbuffetat ₹350 is a real good value. they need a huge improve in the service though.
