wechad ordered for afhjani pulaow, chicken pizza and riat cake. the total bill was aed 186. when the food arrived we felt cheated. the pulaow for which we were charged around aed 79 was not enough even for 1 person. even the taste was nothing close to afghani pulaow. secondly, the roat cake worth aed 29 was only 3 small pieces of cheap flour cake and nothing else. even the chicken spicy pizza was mediocre and not worth talking about.
these guys are making fools of customers in the name of afghani food and should be avoided. would never order again from their restaurant.

this snuggly little place has a lot to offer. the nutella pancake, white sauce pasta and lemon mint was made to absolute perfection with excellent flavours. but honestly as a designer i had major issues with the interiors. a small place does not always have to maximize its seating area. if the food is so good, honest food lovers would love to wait. cramping up seating area is somehow very disturbing. being able to listen to another tables conversation does not sell good with me. anyway i would absolutely come back again but probably when there are lesser people.

there is always a place that you always want to go to when thinking of eating out, just because the atmosphere is good and the food is great. to me gudee pizza & cafe is one of those places in abu dhabi. i have been enjoying eating there ever since my first time and always take my friends there.

the food is always well prepared and the sweets are just as delicious. i love to start with their delicious ash soup then start with a generous portion of gudees salad then have chicken tikka or lamb tikka and end it with a nice bread pudding or their lovely prepared kunafa. i have tried most of their menu but i tend to stick to the afghani dishes they serve and always love trying their new desserts. below are some of the pictures of the dishes that i enjoy at gudees.

the restaurant has expanded with now has a new interior decoration. in addition to new menu items that were delicious such as the cardamom chicken, saffron chicken, and the cheese gnocchi.

دائماً هناك أماكن نحب نروح لها عشان نأكل ونستمتع بالوقت، مطعم قودي هو احد هذه المطاعم بالنسبة لي. من عرفت المطعم وانا دائماً امر عندهم حق غدا ولا حق عشاء والاكل دائماً طازج ولذيذ. وتعودت دائماً اخذ أصدقائي هناك واحب اقترح المكان على اللي يسألني عن بعض المطاعم المفضلة عندي.

الاكل دائماً يكون محضر طازجا والحلويات عندهم لذيذة. أحب أبدا بشوربة الاش اللذيذة وعقبها أبدا بالسلطة وحق الطبق الرئيسي اخذ تكا الدجاج او اللحم واخلص بحلاوة الكنافة او البودنق بالحليب.

المطعم توسع وصار اكبر وشرح اكثر والديكور تغير وصار احلا من قبل. بالاضافة انهم رادو عدة أطباق في المينيو الجديد منها الدجاج بالهيل والدجاج بالزعفران وباستا النوكي بالجبن. تحت بتحصلون بعض الاطباق والصور من المطعم.

went to gudee for breakfast although they open at 10 wish they can make it earlier.. ordered puri ,, gudee eggs with tomato ,, foul modammes and karak with saffron,, food was a bit pricey but taste good and flavorful.. recommended

unique food but extremely slow service. we had gone there for breakfast. we ordered 3 dishes for each of us and they arrived at different intervals. each had a gap of 20 mins so while one was eating the rest were either already done or were waiting to be served. we lost our patience by the time the 3rd dish arrived and left.
although it's worth mentioning that the cuisine is unique. if they are better staffed it's worth giving a try.

i got to know about goodies cafe from one of our fellow foodies on zomato who enticed me with a pic of their kinder pancake. besides their menu seemed really interesting, so i thought i'd visit them with some like minded friends of mine.

goodies is on al dhafra opposite sofra istanbul. securing a parking spot can be a nightmare especially during a late visit as most of the parking in the area are reserved for residents. the cafe is small with limited seating and i was surprised to see that it was almost full even on a weekday till about closing time cause that was when we left. the ambience is nice and the walls are real artsy with some having graffiti and others catchy hand drawings. the service was slightly slow but we weren't really bothered as we were waiting on a friend. they have an exhaustive list of drinks to offer, right from healthy smoothies and fresh fruit nd veggie drinks to different variations of tea and coffee. their breakfast menu is sound, salads are decent and there's a make your own bowl option which i went for. you also have pizza and pasta to choose from and their special afghani options that complete the mains.

i ordered the classic detox drink in which i felt the ginger was slightly overpowering but was refreshing nonetheless. i had to tailor my salad from time to time as my server returned on 2 occasions to tell me that some ingredients were not available (not impressed). we also ordered the special pizzas (butter chicken and oman chips pizzas) which were quite good. the highlight of our visit was desserts. the kinder pancake is a great idea and what sets this apart from others is the taste the melted white chocolate adds to the chocolate sauce. the choco lava cake was also amazing and worth the try.

final verdict: some unique offerings that make it worth a visit. some items on the menu are pricey but innovative nonetheless. will be back for sure.

i tried this place a while back and it became one of the places we still joke about because it is ridiculously pricey and the service is very very slow (mind u we were the only ones) . aed60 for 3 small pancakes is a joke, i thought when i ordered that it will be at least huge. nope it was very small. the staff are incredibly friendly but sad to say they are slow. granted i went there i think last year but felt i need to mention as recent reviews agree with me.

i went to goodies pizza cafe today with my friend during brunch time. we ordered their special kinder pancake and chicken and mushroom creme pasta with pink sauce. the service was very slow and i felt like the prices were pretty high. the food was absolutely delicious , it was totally worth the money and hype . specially their pancakes .. extremely yummy and satisfying. will be definitely going back soon!

considering the price of their food, you’ll expect an above average experience may it be taste or presentation, but there isn’t anything spectacular, lol. too dimly lit place and it took longer time than expected for the food to arrive. the food’s okay, they have complimentary tea cake that tastes good but overall def not worth the price. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

gudee's is seriously all about that comfort food, comfort atmosphere and friendly staff

-famous for their organic chicken biryani,

-chicken chips oman sliders

-halwa puri breakfast (my favorite) with saffron chai karak

"i just listed my favorite items" but their whole menu is fascinating, afghani + american infusions and some emarati touches over the menu

hands down one of the best places to have varieties of dessert if you aren't into heavy comfort food.

they've got so much to choose from not once have i been disappointed in their dessert selection

-sticky date pudding
- my all time award winner "kinder crepe rolls" to drool for

shout out to the extremely welcoming staff, specially omar and rohit (and everyone else who comes and talks to me in french and makes sure i still remember my forgotten french language) whom also never seize to recommend new items on the menu and have already learned how my palates work and make sure i'm always satisfied.

guddee special kinder pancakes : a delicious delight for pancake lovers, melted hot kinder spread on top. a must try!

half classic meat & half spicy chicken pizza : pretty good actually, very filling and tasty.

pasta with grilled chicken & mushroom : well cooked penne pasta with white & pink sauce. decent!

thanks to zomato for bringing this restaurant into light. it is one of those restaurants that may go unnoticed. however with the good ratings, they seem to attract lot of customers.
the look and feel of the restaurant was really pleasing. the music sets the mood for good catch up place for friends or for a family meetup or for simple date.
the menu is really intriguing with the mix of afghan food,the diverse flavors of pizza and exciting desserts.
what i loved about pizza was you could go for a 1/3 where u get to choose three flavors in your single pizza thereby letting u taste 3 different flavors at one go. among the 3,one that stood out was oman chips pizza among mac and cheese and chicken pizza
passion fruit mojito was also refreshing.
we did try the famous kinder pancake. the rich luscious kinder chocolate just melts in your mouth making it feel like heaven. however after a point felt it too sweet and hard to finish. also pancake was a bit boring. another must try is their saffrony milk cake which just melts in your mouth as the cake is soaked with saffron milk and isnt too sweet hence you could satiate as much as you want.
downside of all is the cost and you would reconsider visiting them often due to the high price. one pan pizza costed us 120 dhs and the pancake was 65dhs.
be ready to shell out good amount if going with a group

it was really nice the. all what you can find in one place,and dynamite shrimp is a perfect appetizer to serve or whenever you want to pamper yourself for a quick evening treat. i love this and never tire of eating it, these are my favorite pancakes with nutella.
