gudee pizza & cafe

great place with really great food. the pizzas are very unique and there will definitely be something (or a combination) that you have never tried before.

staff are pleasant. especially omar who spoke to us like we had been friends for years. kudos.

only downside is that prices are a bit steep. but all in all, awesome place.

good food but sad to say disappointing service.
waiters neglected our table. people who came after us were served and paid the bill while we were still waiting for our food.

the food is just amazing i tried their pink pasta, different type of fries and different type of rice with kebab etc all taste good, for the dessert i'm a fan of their milk cake and victorian cake but the pistachio lava didn't taste good
in general really good experience but one problem i kept having with them is pick up delivery, the one on phone sounds moody and there is 15-30 minutes each time i order and usually i order 20 mins before i reach the restaurant and even when i call them they ignores me and not even tell me sorry or explain the situation

the place is so cozy. went there for desserts. i liked their rose milk cake, and i do recommended it for you guys 👌🏻👅

one of my favorite places in abu dhabi. a must try restaurant. the have the best sweets & saffron karak. i like their burger too. they have this lave pistachio, which taste heavenly. am a usual customer, once a month at least i visit this restaurant & its not that expensive compared to similar restaurants.

كأكل روعه بس الخدمه صفر ودايما يحطون اغاني هنديه ودايما اوصل المطعم مثلا عشر ونص الصبح وهم يفتحون عشر بعدهم ينظفون المكان واماكان ما اقدر ايلس فيها ع اساس مش منظفه االمفروض يخلصون تنظيف قبل لا يفتحون

great place to hang out with friends!!
good music and ambience..love the way they have done the interior..a bit on the pricey side but food was yum!!..we ordered one pizza with two flavours..which was half burrata and half oman chips with cheese favour..i personally liked the burrata flavour..it was yum!!..and had their smoothies..wanted to try their kinder pancakes but we were full..heard great reviews about their pancakes..will try it out next time..only thing they have to improve is their service..we had asked for the bill and had to wait 10-15 mins to get it..otherwise its a big thumbs up!!

man oh man oh man. this place is terrible for a sweet tooth like me.

i've been here twice now for something sweet and the quality is outstanding. the price is a bit on the higher end but if lowering the price would affect the taste of the desserts on offer i'd gladly put to rest that proposition, bide my time, till i have some more change to spare and spend it here haha.

in all seriousness tho. you can tell from first bite the food was made with a lot of love , care and quality. i've had the kinder pancakes and the milk chocolate cookie thing (i forget the name).

the pancakes were extremely decadent and served all day everyday in a variety of different flavours. it comes as a tri-stack lathered in the most scrumptious rich and velvety kinder sauce. if your worried, it doesn't get soggy but i demolished them in about 5 minutes after the first bite.

the cookie as seen in the photos below takes 10 minutes to heat up. the outside is a cookie biscuit layer encasing a molten milk chocolate center akin to a higher quality cadbury bar. i could rush this and had to cool down every bite or i'd burn my tongue and cheeks off.

a very happy man. and will be a frequent customer for as long as you are open.

i have to say i've always carried a wrong impression about this cafe until i finally went in and tried it. the decoration was super cool ! there is yellow and pink tulips hanging upside down from the counter and it looks so pretty 🌷 loving the arrangement ,in addition more bouquets of flowers on the other side . so you are sitting and you have the view of the flowers on both sides 😍the music was pumpin , so energetic and full of life ,playing nostalgic music with fresh beats. it wasn't too loud that you couldn't carry a conversation , so the equation fits. the food is culinary dishes from afghanistan and italy the best of both worlds and ofcourse they have pizza. will post more pics and edit the review when i get my hands on some pizza 🤓 it is a bit pricy, but anything you order off the menu is guaranteed to be delicious. per example this is my first time ordering gudee eggs with fresh tomato & onion and it was goooood kept me full for most of the day. bon appetite my friends and don't forget to eat your plate 🍽

i came here for the first time only to get takeout on their cakes with my best friend.

looking around, the ambiance of the cafe was certainly dim lit and had a cozy feel that allows friends or family to enjoy a stress free meal. the decor was actually not that bad especially the upside down flower light bulb decor.

the cakes we chose were recommended: lotus chocolate cake and their milk cake.

i was open minded when i saw the big portion of dessert and it took 4 people to finish. the lotus chocolate cake was really delicious. very sweet becoz of the cookie butter but really good. cake batter could be more moist but overall it was a good recommendation.

a lighter option than the first one. the milk cake was refreshing yummy eventhough i found it being soaked in milk a new experience. the cake batter on this one is better than the lotus cake.

since the desserts were good, i might think of ordering their food next time. but for now i will just leave this review.

the wiriest restaurant ive been to in abu dhabi very bad service and to high prices as well , the restaurant was good on the beginning but later on the prices went to high comparing to the same type of restaurant and the quality of food not that quality your looking for

this place has been mentioned in the hidden jems listing on zomato and rightly so! gudee is such a cozy warm place with great food, it has a very exhaustive menu and after two visits we really want to go back to try more. both visits had us ordering the rose milkshake and spicy sticky fries, because they are the best fries i've had in abu dhabi!
the only downside to this place is that the service is really bad. i really want to go back but then thinking about the service , and how i have to beg the servers to take our order and also to bring us the bill (really), kind of dampens the whole experience.
but a must visit for some great afghani french food!

one of my favourites in abu dhabi. great food and great staff. just a pity it's so far away.

heard a lot about this place and couldn't wait to try it. so i headed there with a friend to have breakfast, we reached at 9:30 and the surprise was...it's closed!!!! yes i admit it's our fault we should've checked first but come on...almost all popular places now serve breakfast at 8 or 9. so i decide to call them and they inform me that they open at 10:15 a.m. not even 10:00 a.m. pretty weird timing in my opinion.

anyways, so i head there a week or so later with another friend for an early dinner. the place was busy so we were not greeted & we didn't know if there were available tables; we wondered around a bit not knowing whether to stay or leave. after spotting an empty table, we decide to sit and wait, soon enough a waiter shows up & takes our order.

the food was nice, pasta was a bit too heavy for me personally but it was nice. the saffron milk cake was really yummy & i loved the afghani tea. food was ok but i feel it's a bit too expensive.

the staff were really nice, cheerful, polite & knowledgeable of their menu which is something i absolutely love.

i wish they would revise their timings though, because i'd like to have an early breakfast to be able to have lunch too; but with the 10:15 timing & taking into consideration the time we take to order & get served....it's more like brunch than breakfast.
