amazing food, my favorite for sure. amazing food, good service, and a great crowd. prices are very reasonable. can't stop coming here! i honestly haven't had an item that isn't entirely amazing so i just tell you, order whatever looks good and you'll enjoy. especially the venison chili cheese fries! :)

green dot stables is a detroit icon and rightfully so. cheap but delicious food and drink mixed with a trendy atmosphere and funky staff make for a great experience. every slider, although simple, is carefully thought out and the product is a mix of sweet and savory smarts. even the desserts are brilliant, especially the ice cream sandwich which screams local pride with the use of blue moon ice cream from the local guernsey dairy farm stuffed between a mexican tea biscuit.

visited on a weeknight and got seated in about 15 minutes. loved all the slider options all sold separately so you could try several. fun and creative cocktails. great casual atmosphere in a off the beaten path area of detroit. would love to go again.

recently visited green dot stables for the second time and i must say that i thoroughly enjoy the food and the service. i tried the corned beef slider which was amazing, a crispy chicken ceasar slider was good and a crispy pork shoulder slider that was also very delicious. the macaroni and cheese was ok not the best but decent in my opinion it lacked flavor. also tried the venison chili and cheese fries and the cajun fries which were both equally great. only complaint which brought it down to one star was that food arrived rather room temp/cold not hot at all. overall a definite place to visit in detroit. great prices and excellent service.

we've been to green dot many times. their food is always good, drinks are good and inexpensive, it's always exciting to find out what their mystery slider is and the wait is manageable.

our last visit was disappointing in the length of time after ordering until we got our food. it wasn't horribly crowded ( and as regulars will tell you, this is a place that is so popular it can get incredibly so) but it still took over 30 minutes to get our sliders out. was it the waiter? cook staff? i don't know, but it could have gone better.

still, you can't get better sliders. and did i mention the drinks?

green dot stables needs no introduction to any detroiter. this iconic eatery is on every “things to do in the d” list and has been visited by an entourage of the rich and famous. as with flowers of vietnam, it is quintessential detroit. it’s always busy, non-apologetic, economical (no food on the menu is more that $3) and filled with a mosaic of patrons that reminds you that there is a fantastic diversity in america’s most misunderstood city.

i’ve been a few times and my favorite sliders are the korean (peanut butter and kimchi) and the hot brown (chicken, mornay and bacon). any of the sides, whether it’s the cucumber, kale, fries or mac and cheese are all well worth a couple of bucks. the booze is dirt cheap and they carry a small but nice array of craft beer in bottles and on tap.

love the vibe and love the food and i visit often on trips through detriot...even if need to deal with hipsters.

cozy atmosphere, alcohol is beyond reasonably priced, friendly staff, a plethora of vegetarian slider choices, and delicious food. only complaints: loud and with a crowd. you'll always wait, but the wait is worth it!

great sliders, great prices. and the fries are awesome! fried chicken slider is my fave, but a regular old cheeseburger slider is great too!

it's a fun place to go, odd that they don't have service outside though. you have to order your food to go, then you can take it outside. bartenders are seriously top-notch. try the mystery cocktail, every time it's been an inventive, well-balanced drink. it doesn't quite live up to the hype, but it's a fine place to try a bunch of different sliders.

not a good first impression. sat at the bar & ordered 2 sliders, truffle & herb fries, & mac & cheese. our bartender carlos was awesome but that's pretty much where the good experience ends. the fries are actually truffle salt & parsley and although tasty had very little truffle flavor. the mac & cheese was pretty good but thought the portion was a tad small. overall i felt like the food was trying to be 'gourmet' & trendy but failed. the clam chowder was simply topped w a swirl of siracha which was great without it. the kimchi & peanut butter was not well balanced & the meat was oddly flavored & dry. didn't care for the mystery meat (gator) either. not in a hurry to go back.

i couldn’t find much historical information about the restaurant, but am guessing that the equestrian themed restaurant was opened back in 2012. there specialty is homemade sliders, with an eccentric flare. three of their most popular sliders are the peanut butter & kimche, mystery meat, and the bct (bacon, cucumber, tomato).

in the barren wasteland of the industrial side of corktown is an oasis of hipsterism. green dot stables...when you walk in this quaint little place that smells of pabst blue ribbon, rich mahogany, and anything else that isnt mainstream. you find a room full of white suburbanites in their mid-twenties. all of whom are wearing out of date brown blazers, weak beards, and jeans that are just a tad tight at the bottom. the kind of people that wouldn't know what to do if dropped off in cass corridor at 4 am. as you sit down you are greeted by a rude, arrogant, unattractive waiter who is "so" detroit that you just cannot even fathom the level of detroitness he emits via pharamones. i seem to be a bit off track i'm writing a food review...the food is fantastic and i suggest it as long as you can handle all the hipsters that you will inevitably encounter.
