what's the deal with aussies and brunch? anyway, whatever it is, it's working well. lots of great options for the more adventurous, to the more restricted in diet, with no compromise on taste and quality. favourite things - coconut bread, off the breakfast menu, shrimp burger off the lunch menu. usual selection of fritters, and bacon, avocados and chia seeds abound. green cold press juices. even tried a soy avocado coffee frappe. not for me, but at least thisplacecaters to all sorts! bloody mary much more to my taste! a lovely location. one point off for bored and inattentive service.

the onlyplacethat had a queue in the area. it is that good!

we tried the following:

-toasted coconut bread and butter: delicious, very light!

-fresh aussie: very filling plate. it is great to keep you going.

-poached eggs: the eggs were good. however, it is not very filling.

service is very slow, they even forgot to bring us the muffin which is ready.

prices are fair.

overall, good breakfast option next to notting hill. recommended!

i had heard a lot about thisplaceand finally went there. be sure to reach early or be ready to wait in a queue :)) it quite popular for sunday brunches.

i had the avocado on sourdough bread with scrambled eggs and salmon. the avocado was super fresh and so was the salmon. i loved my creamy scrambled eggs and the chef happily made me an egg white only portion. salmon was very fresh too and i savoured every bite of the whole plate swiping it clean.

and then enjoyed a latte made to perfection.

i must mention the heart warming hospitality which added a delight to the whole experience. i would definitely go back for more brunches at this place! loved it.

absolutely excellent breakfast !
i had heard so much about thisplaceand it was all worth the hype . theplacewas buzzing and so lovely in the morning . the staff was very good and polite even though we had to wait too much for a table the wait was worth the food.

i had the scrambled eggs with avocado salsa on the side and the bloody mary. i’ve never had better eggs and a better breakfast bloody mary. both the things were perfect !

just finishing up a meal here and can't wait to review. granger & co. is the epitome of cheerful and delicious! the decor is bright and happy, with warm wood paneling on the ceiling, white clean walls, granite flooring and bar, and loads of mirrors and huge windows. despite being overcast outside, it seems bright indoors. i also loved how diverse the clientele was...young couples, groups of laughing friends, and families with small kids. everyone mixed well together, and smiles where all around!

aside from the happy interior, the food and service make their customers all the merrier. we started with the korean fried chicken. the chicken was crispy yet perfectly tender, accompanied by a spicy sesame chili sauce. for our mains, we had their grass fed beef burger. absolutely amazing. the homemade tomato sauce and herb mayonnaise was really special, the beef was flavorfully seasoned and juicy, and the garnish, a thinly sliced cucumber, made an otherwise heavy burger very light and refreshing. this is a two hand, multi napkin kind of burger as you won't put it down.

the fries also are a treat. lightly seasoned, you wish you had more!

all and all, this is a great funplacefor a sunday afternoon with your friends, family or special someone.

originally from australia, granger and co are a chain of restaurants by bill granger, specialising in breakfast as well as australian cuisine such as bbq items and hotcakes. it was recommended by a fellow foodie and i went for the shrimp burger and it tasted much better than i expected. the strange but wonderful combination of jalapeño mayo and sesame gochujang really delivered a powerful and spicy sensation to my palate with the shaved radish salad added the much needed sourness to offset the richness. however, be aware this is not a cheap and cheerfulplaceas you would need to pay at least £20 pp just for 1 course and a soft drink.

possibly my new favourite brunchplacein london. it might seem an exaggeration to claim the whole of london but let's face it, at that hour i'm not trekking too far from base as chances are i'm not fully functional at brunch o'clock anyway. nonetheless it sounds better and i'm happy to give granger and go praise where praise is due. from the moment of booking the staff were super helpful.

... dammit i need to get off a bus so gonna come back to finish writing later......aaand the app crashed on me when i finished the review so this is attempt #3!  (angry face @zomato).

on phoning to reserve i was informed the menu changes at 12pm.  so chose to book 11.30am to get the best of both menus.  worked out a treat.  we were a group of 5 (2 arrived late) so of us ordered breakfast for starter and then lunch for main!  for the more health conscious among our group was a wide selection of gluten free, dairy free, meat free, without any compromise on flavour.  i fall more into the category of stress free when dining which it definitely was as we didn't have to scour with a fine comb for everyone in our group.  the cocktail selection is pretty interesting too.  i've not been doing so well in my acid test of bloody mary's of late but granger's concoction made with clamato juice hit the spot.  couldn't resist staying for dessert too.  miso full!

it is always really annoying when one of your favourite brunch spots, also happens to be everyone else’s.

granger and co is undoubtedly notting hills best brunch spot. sorry to all the others, but it is true! simple food, with a creative twist, it is a restaurant with scrambled eggs so good, it is worth the hour queue for. no egg-zaggeration!

you can imagine my delight when i discovered that they were opening a sister restaurant too. unfortunately for me, it is in clerkenwell, a good 45 minute trek from my west london pad. anyway, it just so happened i was in town and took the chance to pop over before the locals cotton on and the queues ensue.

armed with a parent and the papers, i headed on over to check it out and see i it was as good as its notting hill sister. it was also a great excuse to whack out my new favourite toga pulla booties. just look at those beauties

it had taken us so long to get across town (we might have stopped off on the way for a cheeky peek at the amazing new anselm keifer exhibition at the royal academy) that we missed breakfast and had to order from the lunch menu. i was not egg-static to be missing out on a side of scrambled and smushed avocado, as i was anticipating but it turned out to be a blessing. i had not tried the lunch menu before and was in a pleasant surprise…

what we ordered: for starters we went for the zucchini (courgette) chips, which had been dusted in cornflower and fried to crisp perfection. finished with a light smattering of black sesame seeds and served alongside a hefty dollop of tahini yoghurt and a wedge of lime. a lovely balance of creamy, rich and fresh.

mains i went for tea-poached salmon, samphire with green soba and and a side of avocado. dad couldn’t decide between the sweetcorn fritters with smoked bacon and tomatoes, or the calimari with chilli dipping sauce and shaved courgette salad, so we got both and shared the sweetcorn fritters. the salmon was beautiful and flakey but a little underwhelming. having been poached in tea i was hoping for a little earthiness and more flavour but the result was a little plain. i would have gone for a lapsang (smokey tea) instead of earl grey to poach the fish in, had it been me. the noodles and samphire has a nice sesame dressing and worked really well the enhance the flavour of the salmon.

the sweetcorn fritters were sublime. the batter had a good pinch of earthy spices to bringout the sweetness of the corn and make the dish a little more exciting. the bacon was generously thick cut, righteously smokey and the tomato ripe and popping with sweetness. an overall a+ dish, i would certainly order again! dad calimari looked good, but unsurprisingly my mitts weren’t allowed anywhere near. not that i minded… just look at those fritters just waiting to be busted open! the only thing i wouldn’t have minded was a few shakes of that delish tahini yoghurt to drizzle over and a squeeze of lime

the vibe : the overall feel of theplacewas very much chic new york airy loft meets, sleek aussie laid back. sleek white surfaces, big floor to ceiling windows all creating an open bright space. a clever perforated wooden ceiling, preventing any echoey noise reverberation around the room. the service was speedy, the witnesses helpful, warm and very knowledgable. from beginning to the end of our lunch theplacewas packed and i have no questions why. granger and co have a formula and clearly they are sticking to it. i don’t doubt that in no time there will be a queue around the corner for thisplacetoo, so find an excuse to get their pronto and don;t worry if you miss breakfast, as im sure you can tell, i was pretty happy with lunch too.

…now, excuse me whist i get back to this weeks sunday time style. there was a piece this week on fashion staples by pandora sykes and i just love her style!
