thisplaceis the cutest and located conveniently near town hall. the cocktails are great and the customer service very attentive. theplaceis tight so try to get your friends to get there early otherwise you'll be standing around.

my friends and i had heard such good things about thisplaceand we were sorely disappointed. the drinks were great (albeit a little pricey), however the woman we had serving us was completely rude and unprofessional, and whenever we asked any questions she just told us we were making her job harder. it's a niceplacebut our time there was ruined by the service, we will make it easier for you and won't return.

grandma's bar was the final food institution i visited which was rated above 4.4 on zomato and probably a perfect conclusion to my intense food exploits.

the signature cocktails, dark n stormy and peanut butter colada, were the best i have tried in my life and they literally made me tipsy without me realizing. these cocktails somehow used unconventional ingredients like coconut cream and roasted pineapple, mixed them up and turned them into mugs/cups of delightful drinks.

the icing on the cake would be the jaffles which tasted awesome! a must visit foodplace😆😆

oh my gosh! i fall in love with thisplaceevery single time. wednesday night catch up with a girlfriend at grandma's. packed out as usual, seating can be very sparring at the best of times, even for a wednesday evening. got a seat up against the wall with the music blurring, it was almost impossible to hear each other at times. it's a small venue, that has a rustic feel to it. unmatching seating and doilies, and knitted quilts to give you that feel like you are at your grandma's place.
the cocktail menu is extensive and wine selection is splendid. there is so much to love about this place! greatplaceto chill and catch up over vino and mixed nuts, leaving all your woes at the front door after a long day at work (or whatever you've been doing), while you soak up the atmosphere of the place, sipping on cocktail or other forms of beverage. however, if you are hungry, thisplacedoesn't really sell food apart from nibble mixed nuts and jaffles. so if you want something sustainable, it's best you come here not on an empty stomach but filed up to help you soak up the alcohol.

checked out thisplacelast night with my friend for pre-drinks and it is such a quaint little place. it is a little hidden, we wouldn't have found it without the street address. it's right around the corner from hotel sweeneys.
we were surprised there was table service, perhaps it was because it's quiet monday night. the first thing we thought was that it would be a brilliantplacefor a first date. however, the only food they offered are jaffles and some bar snacks.
we ordered the chicken jaffles ($8), which were nicely toasted and fulfilling.
the drinks were obviously the star of the establishment. we got man made ($18) and passion fruit cosmo ($17). both were delicious and strong.
overall, a really comfortableplacewith great drinks and friendly staff.

fantastic atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing cocktails! finding theplaceis a little tricky as you need to enter a little stairwell area first and then go down some stairs. it is certainly worth that tiny bit of a search though!

conveniently, also on clarence street is a littleplacecalled grandma’s bar. grandma’s is a secluded little hideaway found through an easily-missed doorway and passage. walking down the narrow stairs past the giant moose-head decorated with garlands of knitting, you find yourself in a room not too dissimilar to one in your nanna’s house. which is isn’t always a bad thing. the aim of grandma’s bar is to provide a home away from home, a familiar, nostalgic family that you can escape to. knitting baskets are strewn on side tables, crocheted blankets flung over the couch, and vintage floral chairs provide a decorative spot for you to kick back in.  grandma’s has around 70 rums available, and is largely cocktail focused. it has more spanish styles of rum, which are sweeter and stickier.  dark ‘n’ stormy ($17.00) while grandma’s has more of a cocktail focus, it is still worth a visit to check out their range of rums.      the rum diaries 288 bondi road, bondi nsw phone: (02) 9300 0440 web:

we came an it was packed... seemed like a good start. theplacehad small stools sitting around so we perched on those and were informed not to sit because they were decorative only. when we ordered drinks the bar staff were rude and unhelpful. the drinks were okay - nothing special and pricey. won't be back.

thisplaceis decked out with an eclectic collection of retro furniture and décor, so it looks cosy and kind of homely, without being pretentious. the drinks menu is long, it’ll take you a while to go through it all. a glass of wine is reasonably priced for an inner-city bar, but it’s the cocktails you go there for – and th

finally us four sisters got together for a little girl's night and thought grandma's bar would be appropriate for a innocent catch up. we found our way to this quaint tiny bar and weren't dissatisfied. it was heavy rains outside and just theplaceto get comfy with cocktails. the barmen making sure we were settled and patiently awaiting to take our orders. (all of us very slow at making decisions _ as so many interesting cocktails to choose from) jaffles were yummy too. quickly this secretplacewas filled with a decent crowd and all is well because the music swelled and we could still chat without shouting. had a lovely evening and will return to try some more enticing martinis!
