cosy little place for great cocktails! it was busy when we went on a saturday night and there was a wait to get our drinks, but nothing unexpected.

finding grandma's is not as easy as you think. i know cbd fairly well and still missed it. of course there was no signs you could only tell by the bouncer at front door. it was the first few hidden small bars opened along clarence/york street before baxter inn, lobo, and pape gede and still one of the better ones. cocktails were good and creative, service was friendly, but best of all it didn't come across as snobbish or pretentious as the newcomers. it was small and got busy quickly, so go early.

it's a really nice and relax bar to go. i like the menu design there, especially the welcome writing at the first page. can tell they really care about everyone who comes over for a drink. the cocktails are absolutely delicious. already planning to go back again.

this place is the cutest and located conveniently near town hall. the cocktails are great and the customer service very attentive. the place is tight so try to get your friends to get there early otherwise you'll be standing around.

my friends and i had heard such good things about this place and we were sorely disappointed. the drinks were great (albeit a little pricey), however the woman we had serving us was completely rude and unprofessional, and whenever we asked any questions she just told us we were making her job harder. it's a nice place but our time there was ruined by the service, we will make it easier for you and won't return.

cool small bar on the basement level on clarence st. can to hard to find. drinks were standard prices, service was really chill (in a friendly good way) and the jaffles are sooo tasty, especially after you've had a few and are starving. worth a visit!

a small basement hidden bar with rustic interiors and comfortable vibes. they don’t have too much seating so it’s hard to get in on friday and saturday nights. drinks are nice but nothing that amazing.

my girlfriend took me here after work one friday. the staff were instantly attentive, the cocktails and food came quickly and i loved the concept of experiencing “grandma’s” travels through cocktails.
it’s nice when something as simple as a jaffle can be made so on point you forget its food to eat when you can’t be bothered cooking anything else.
most importantly, we had the jean claude juan jam cocktail and it was one of the most creative and well made cocktails i’ve ever had.
well done grandma’s!

a cute, cozy speakeasy with an interesting theme and great cocktails. their cocktails come in a wide range of flavours, from fruity to coffee-based to more traditional whisky options. i had the rhythm and booze upon the bartender’s recommendation for fruity drinks, and i’d have to say, if you like fruity drinks, this is a great choice. it tasted nothing more than fresh watermelon juice, but did hit me with the buzz after just one drink. i also had the little italy, which is a twist on the negroni with coffee beans. what can i say? i’m just not a negroni person if even coffee can’t make me love it. (nothing against the bar however, this is obviously a personal problem. if anything, this is, and will probably be for a long time, my favorite negroni.) the express yourself, which is rum with cold brew and caramel, however, tasted almost like cappuccino and is definitely something a sweet tooth like myself will prefer. good for weekday after-work drinks with your favorite coworker (or two), to talk about the boss and your day at work.

intimate bar, as we walked into grandma's bar we were greeted with the smoothest smiles and candle lights, inviting and sooo warming.

check out the pineapple express for a great show. this bar was delightful after a dinner out in the cbd.

coming back for more interesting cocktails.

such a cool bar to sit with friends or colleagues. its a very small bar so finding spot on friday or saturday nights is a mission but its worth the wait. vast collection of cocktails. comfy couches and a few games to play when you are there. bar food which is served pretty quick.

grandma's bar was the final food institution i visited which was rated above 4.4 on zomato and probably a perfect conclusion to my intense food exploits.

the signature cocktails, dark n stormy and peanut butter colada, were the best i have tried in my life and they literally made me tipsy without me realizing. these cocktails somehow used unconventional ingredients like coconut cream and roasted pineapple, mixed them up and turned them into mugs/cups of delightful drinks.

the icing on the cake would be the jaffles which tasted awesome! a must visit food place 😆😆

such a cool bar with intimate vibes and great bartenders. the night i went they lit the bar on fire!! don't worry it's still there. it's a small and cosy bar so it can be hard to find a spot but once you do it's great. good music too. definitely one to put on the bar hop list.

i had the rhythm and booze cocktail - watermelon lovers dream. pretty sure it was delicious and wasn't too strong (my tolerance for strong tasting alcohols are low to nil now, though for normal people this will also be delicious).

also the jaffle i had was 10/10. spag and cheese, so good when you've been drinking only cocktails. come here everybody.
