a cute, cozy speakeasy with an interesting theme and great cocktails. their cocktails come in a wide range of flavours, from fruity to coffee-based to more traditional whisky options. i had the rhythm and booze upon the bartender’s recommendation for fruity drinks, and i’d have to say, if you like fruity drinks, this is a great choice. it tasted nothing more than fresh watermelon juice, but did hit me with the buzz after just one drink. i also had the little italy, which is a twist on the negroni with coffee beans. what can i say? i’m just not a negroni person if even coffee can’t make me love it. (nothing against the bar however, this is obviously a personal problem. if anything, this is, and will probably be for a long time, my favorite negroni.) the express yourself, which is rum with cold brew and caramel, however, tasted almost like cappuccino and is definitely something a sweet tooth like myself will prefer. good for weekday after-work drinks with your favorite coworker (or two), to talk about the boss and your day at work.
