we ordered a variety of dim sum on a tuesday night. there was a great selection to choose from, we had scallop, prawn and cilantro, pork and peanut, and leek dumplings all steamed. they were all very delicious, withgoodquality ingredients and made fresh. we also ordered the chinese broccoli with oyster sauce and bok choy with garlic sauce - both were very fresh and cooked to perfection. we regularly travel internationally and the yum cha / dim sum was asgoodas you will find anywhere!

verygoodfor lunch!. i happened to order the happy family dish from the lunch menu. i did like the choices that came with my lunch since some of the other restaurants aren't as generous. the food was really good! the only negative was that it did take a bit for my takeout to be ready but it was well worth it.

don't eat here. bad! because of all thegoodreviews i thought i had found the perfect place. i did read the one bad review and thought maybe the reviewer was overly critical. after eating here, i agree with his negative analysis.

i ordered five main dishes, egg rolls, egg drop soup, and crab ragoons in order to get a wide sampling to review. the crab ragoons, egg rolls, and egg drop soup were slightly below good. the soup did have a corn flavor that i did not enjoy. the sesame chicken and general tso's chicken are breaded and soggy! the meat used in these dishes seems to be the hard part of the chicken thighs. dreadfully unappetizing. on the positive side, the sauce on both is yummy. the mongolian beef is dry and on the tasteless side. the beef with garlic sauce was one of the better dishes. not that it would call me back to eat it again. finally, the onlygooddish was the chicken lomein.

i just don't know how so many people enjoy this place.

dim sum sunday. this is one of omaha's better asian restaurants, and the weekend dim sum experience is a big reason why. served saturdays and sundays from 11 am until 3 pm, there are about 40 options on the dim sum menu. plus you have the regular menu to choose from, too. dim sum prices average in the $3 range, so it is affordable for a group of diners to mix and match 3 or 4 menu items per person, and then share. on my most recent visit i really liked the cilantro shrimp rolls. the other items we sampled weregoodas well.
a limited dim sum menu is also available at other times of the week, but go on the weekend to get the full experience.

it will be your grand fortune. dining here is special for one reason. the dim sum. no, they don't push the little carts around like in dim sum palaces in larger cities, and that is a shame. but the food is every bit as good. the majority of diners are chinese, and that should tell you something about the quality, and the value. located right next door to famous dave's, you might say dave has a next door neighbor in general tso.
this restaurant is also open later into the night than many others in the neighborhood, something to remember if you are craving dinner at 9:30 after your movie lets out.
if you dine here it will be your grand fortune to do so.
