best hamburger!. we ate about 4 o'clock on tuesday ordered seafood gumbo and i asked for six oysters which were not on the appetizer menu but they were very happy to oblige and they were delicious lightly breaded fried perfectly. i love a good hamburger and we ordered the goorooburgerit was very tasty cooked to perfection cannot complain at all. their seafood gumbo was better than king neptunes which we had on monday. we will go back next trip.

don’t know which was better, the service or the food. we had been on the road all day from saint augustine and were dying for aburgerand this has to be one of the best roadside burgers i’ve had in a long time. the side of grilled vegetables was the perfect complement. clean too.

great littleburgerjoint. excellent service. clean, fast, big selection. we are visiting and were looking for a place for lunch. so glad we stopped in.

a new review for 2015.. the last time i reviewed this place was in 2011, so how are they holding up 4 years later? good, but could be better. the menu's changed a bit, not necessarily for the good. my dining companion gave the adam bombburger(with jalapeños) a thumbs up, and it was big enough for the price to be considered a reasonable value. but it's obvious that portion sizes elsewhere have shrunk, as other reviewers have noted. the value wasn't so great back in 2011 and it's no better today. my party had a fish basket, a fish & shrimp basket and the aforementioned adam bomb, with drinks and a hushpuppies+cheese app, the total before tip was just over $51. that's a lot when the sides are served in skimpy little bowls and the fish is "whitefish of indiscriminate origin". the hushpuppies app was served with a bowl of cheese dip, which is actually a lot better than it sounds. but it was $6 for 7-8 puppies and a small bowl of cheese. on a positive note, the fried and blackened seafood got high marks from everyone on the table. the fried fish's breading is light and crisp and the blackening seasoning is not spicy by any stretch but does at least have flavor, which is more than i can say for competing restaurants down the road. the baked potato salad was also a personal favorite.

in conclusion, i'm letting them keep the "like it" rating, but be sure to read the other recent reviews because many of them are spot on about value and portion size.

nice little place in robertsdale.. stopped in for a baconburgerrecently and was pleased to see the atmosphere inside is casual and contemporary despite the small dining room area.

the baconburgerwas very good, but expensive ($8 for a ½ pounder with fries). it had a nice griddled flavor and was much better than most fast food versions. the bacon was thick and flavorful and the patty well done but still moist-n-greasy.

the fries were forgettable, but soft inside and crispy outside. they seemed to have no salt at all on them.

still, it's worth a trip if you don't mind spending a little more to support a local owner and restaurant.

my wife and i tried gooroo's grill for the first time and were very surprised. customer service was good and the food was great! they were busy but our waitress never neglected our needs, and it helped she looked like maria sharapova. we started with two draft beers and the fried mushrooms. beer was perfect temperature for draft and the basket full of shrooms were great. the main course i ordered the grand gooroo and my wife ordered the ed's classic. we also ordered a small order of wings. myburgerwas huge and delicious! i consider myself aburgerconnoisseur and this was a top tenburgerfor me. fresh made and the fresh cheddar cheese sets it off! wife'sburgerwas smaller but she experienced the same results. wings were pretty good but then again i'm not a huge wing guy. both burgers came with large crinkle cut fries lightly seasoned. this is not a fast food joint so don't expect fast food prices. very reasonable for the quality and quantity.

better than fast food. i think i expected something more like a fast food environment, but this is a sitdown restaurant with full service. the server was very friendly, and the place was packed. theburgeritself was adequately good, and a bit underseasoned. definitely better than any fast food options. i couldn't place it high on favorites, but would stop again if i was nearby.

a must. i ate at goo roo's today upon a recomendation, i must say that i am very glad idid. the decor is sharp and clean the server was awesome and the food was fantastic. i had the bacon cheeseburgerwith mushrooms and grilled onions, i was superb perfectly cooked juicy and fresh. irounded off the meal with banana pudding which was equally fantastic. when passing through robertsdale this is a must stop. kuddos to the owners and staff, job well done.

the best of the best!!!. we have lived in robertsdale for along time so when goo roo's opened and we tried it for the first time we were thrilled to say the least. by now we have tried just about everything on the menu and there isn't one thing that we don't love! lately we have been sticking with "old faithful" the goo rooburgerand ed's classicburgerbut we like i said it's all great. there is something to be said for owners that greet you and know your name, i promise you won't get that at wendy's orburgerking!!!! hahaha..... needless to say we are huge fans!!!
