went for breakfast and had the acai bowl with berries and side of eggs. my wife had some massive meat and egg dish (can't remember the name, but it's a traditional hawaiian thing).

food was good and the atmosphere in the building is pretty neat. sadly the road noise was intense, making conversation tough.

service was decent; nothing spectacular, and the food was good - not great.

worth the mile walk from our hotel, but like everything on oahu, lower your expectations for the expected sum of quality+price.

i had the "ribeye". i put it in quotes because i'm certain it was a strip steak. not a ribeye. it was served pre-cut swimming in a boat of a bastardized knorr-swiss demi-glacé & sweet teriyaki sauce. not worth $25. even in waikiki.

my wife had the pork chop. smothered in onions. advertised as served with mushrooms. there were some 'shrooms in the onion compote. here's the rub-- she is allergic to onions. geez. $22

we started with the lettuce wrap (pork). that passed muster at $11.

there is no seasoning on the table. no salt/pepper. no sauce served for the side (onion rings) or the appetizer.

the steak and chop alone were bland- and the sauces seemed to be an unrecognizable "after-thought".

when a server asked "how is your meal?" i responded "don't ask unless you wanna know" to which the server smiled, turned, & walked away.

which indicates the highest arrogance. "yeah we know it ain't right, but you're not local so it don't matter"

one of the best meals we had in honolulu. we had eggs benedict with pulled pork and pork belly. you have a choice between a taro muffin or wheat. go for the taro. they serve the benedict with purple potatoes and kale. excellent creamy hollandaise and the meats both had a wonderful flavor. add some sriracha for a kick. also had the ginger a creme brûlée and coffee jello for dessert. jello was interesting but not very sweet. creme brûlée was the winner. about $54 including tip for breakfast for two, but a lovely experience and delicious food.

yummy!! everything at goofy's is fresh, affordable and delicious. i had the salmon spinach eggs benedict on a taro muffin and the dish also came with local sweet potatoes and local, tender kale. my mom ordered the green spaghetti which was bursting with fresh basil flavour and garnished with macadamia nuts and garlic shrimp. the place is cute and cozy and i love how the food is not overly salty as it tends to be at other restaurants. goofy's uses only local and organic foods that are naturally delicious on their own!

we thought the food was fantastic!!! i had the green spagetti with shrimp but as i don't eat seafood the waitress was quick to suggest replacing it with chicken. my husband had the loco moco and although he had nothing to compare it to, he thought it was amazing!! the portions were huge and you could tell the food was fresh. i wish we had discovered this little gem at the beginning of our trip instead of our last day so we could eat there again. my only complaint is the service wasn't the greatest as the waitress didn't offer more drinks or anything else and just handed us the bill. overall though we were very impressed!

what a great addition to the dining scene, in waikiki! in a sea of chain restaurants, goody cafe stands out, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients, decent sized portions and wholesome, tasty food. this cute little gem of a restaurant, is worth the wait for a table and i can't wait to return, to sample more of the menu!
