good day cafe

folks, this ain't no greasy spoon.... if you're gonna gripe about the price of the chicken apple sausage, then go to fat nat's eggs for your gut bomb, greasy-spoon breakfast--but you won't find the better-than-mom's hollandaise that gdc offers! the coffee is perfect and always hot! oh, yes, that juice you're whining about is indeed freshly squeezed! and where, may i ask, outside of naw'lins, can you find warm, puffy beignets?! you'll have to agree that they're finger lickin' good! it's just such a pleasure to sit down to a menu and have so many unique options to choose from that i know i'll be back numerous times just to try everything! it may be a bit pricier for some breakfast goers, but this is the upper echelon of the non-fancy (no buffet) breakfast...super high quality ingredients, unique menu offerings, dynamite service--it's not the good day cafe, it's thegreatday cafe!!!
p.s. i beat the crowd by going on monday or tuesday morning around 7am...sit in kathy's section!

perfect. stopped in for late breakfast. it's a limited breakfast menu but what we had was perfect, even the toast.greatservice, too, and prompt. i see some reviewers think it may be pricey, but i think it's worth it because food properly seasoned, didn't need salt or even pepper.

great place..greatfood. i had went to the good day cafe on a sunday morning with my 2 children around 8:30 am. suprisingly we were sat immedietly and were welcomed by our server brittany while she gave us waters and had them prepared in plastic cups for my two young ones. being my first time i asked what she recomended.. she had gone over the menu pointing out top selling things, what the difference between a souffle and french omelet were, and had helped us makegreatchoices. she was very helpful. i had ordered the crab cake benedict and fell in love. my children had pigs in a blanket and silver dollar pancakes. our server made sure to bring crayons and paper for my kids to be entertained in the short time period we waited for food. as well as keeping my coffee hot. food was amazing and my kids enjoyed. i will most definetly return and request brittany again. she was simply wonderful and made our visit great.

great service!. this restaurant is a frequent breakfast haunt for my family of four. the food is always great, but today the service is what inspired my review. while i always seem to leave pleased with my service, my waitress was simply wonderful this morning even in less than ideal situation. picture the sunday morning rush... my dear waitress gracefully accepting that she had been "triple sat" with a smile andgreatservice to boot. thank you dear, you made our day.

had a great, healthy breakfast on my first visit and soup on my next, for carry out. have been very satisfied with the food and flavor with everything i've tried... fantastic chix noodle soup! yes, it's pricey and bustling inside with fun people watching (older crowd from the surrounding burbs showing off their range rovers and yoga duds), but fun to partake the experience once in a while. fun time andgreateats.... come with an empty belly and a thick wallet! :)

first timer. friend recommended forgreatb-fast place. i had good corn beef hash and eggs. noticed on menu that the apple pancake is "walker bros classic." so if you're familiar with walker bros original pancake house you know this place pretty good. gigantic omelettes and cakes/waffles.

i've dined here a couple times, they have a nice size lunch crowd and daily specials. good food, good service,greatsmall town feel atmosphere...

good food for a good day. the huge space is certainly necessary to accommodate the huge crowds which can be found regularly during breakfast and lunch hours. i would advise visiting after 10am without reservations if you're hoping to get a seat within half an hour. while the noise level is definitely moderate, there is ample seating and a delightful breakfast menu. the cinnamon french toast and veggie omelet are quite enjoyable. i also enjoy having more than two bathroom stalls! friendly staff, tasty food and a upbeat atmosphere make this agreatplace to stop by for breakfast or lunch.

fun atmosphere, good food. i had agreatexperience when i tried out good day cafe. i met a friend there. the atmosphere was laid back, the restaurant was clean, and our waitress was great. i love the fact that they have a full "coffee shop" setup as well!

fantastic food,greatservice, have never been disappointed. in response to people complaining about the wait and the noise, if you don't want to deal with a crowd, don't go out to breakfast at a breakfast restaurant on a sat/sun morning!! i like to sit at the bar, never had to wait more than15 min. cheap, delicious, i love gdc!!
