visited the place last night while searching for good indian food in an unfamiliar city (visiting from dubai) with a mix of both vegetarian and non vegetarian food. while exploring some options stumbled upon this and were pleasantly surprised to find them.

the food is value for money, the prices are really low and portions are good for what you pay. indian food taste is good. however little disappointed by arabic grill portion sizes. the hummus isniceand fresh. and indian breads were good.

best part about them is they are clean hygienic and their service is outstanding. the server heard us talking that nan is a bit over toasted we didn’t even complained and within next minute we had a fresh nan at our table mentioning sorry i guess you found the nan over cooked here’s one for you!! that moment they won us over 😊😊😊

anytime we are visiting ras al khaimah we are surely going there.

golden crown is one of good family restaurants in rak. food is of the kind you get in family restaurants in india. they have got someniceveg and non veg options in chinese and north indian dishes. i have tried koftas, biryanis, noodles, manchurian, chapatis, parothas etc. they were all very tasty. they dont have good delivery service though. they have rejected to deliver my order citing lame excuses.

taste- good
service- average
ambience- good
portion- average, not enough if you are very hungry.

this place used to be in the nakheel bazaar after which they shifted next to the hilton double tree in a much larger venue. its aniceplace to come down with the family for some indian/indochinese food. the new venue is much more roomier and spacious - although i did feel the old restaurant had a more homely ambience but thats just me. when it comes to the food - its decent thats as far as i can say. the food is a tad wee bit pricier than other similar establishments in the area. i would recommend the chinese chicken fried rice and the chinese fish dishes, they've got reallyniceindo-chinese food, and a single serving is good for a party of two.

their kulchas and parathas are also good choices for an afternoon snack - however i didn't find their biryani very much to my fancy. plus the last time i visited, it was very sweaty when packed - that kind of put me off for a while and haven't been there since. however overall the food is decent - just a bit over priced.

came here on an lookout for lunch options and this was the best accessible restaurant as we were staying at the doubletree by hilton. since it was eid and we knew the best option was to opt for biriyani, we a group of 16 people ordered all their biriyani options ( fish, chicken, mutton, vegetarian). must say it was quite a disappointment.. as all the dishes had the same masala rice and just the change in meat. we expected anicefried masala fish in our fish biriyani but was very let down when we saw a battered fish finger in it. no complaints on the food, it was just about okay. the hot and sour chicken soup was way too thick with chicken stock and corn flour and was giving out way too a strong smell. the vegetable kofta curry and rotis was just liked by the vegetarians in the group. overall i would just give a 3/5 rating. but all in all, good/fast service, ample parking space, niceseating arrangements. this is just the right place for anyone staying around al nakheel area in rak and its a little expensive than compared to the food they serve.
