glebe point diner

surprisingly nice! we booked for our anniversary and was given a great table. the tables are close together but no annoyingly so. the we had the mozzarella and squid entrees, light and fresh. the steak and pasta were absolutely amazing, although a couple extra noodles in the pasta would have been better. the baked alaska was as good as it gets. overall the service was well above the menu's price point and the winelistis very good.

after three years in melbourne i'm still coming to terms with the slipshod service you get in most sydney establishments. the glebe point diner is an exception.

i love everything about this place.

hard to fault. all three courses were interesting, delicious and good value. the service was exceptional - there when you need it, responsive and knowledgeable, but not in your face. we opted to take a bottle of wine and fork out the $15 corkage, otherwise the in-house winelistis a tad excsy. overall, on the basis of our one visit so far, the glebe point diner is hard to fault.

wonderful food, complimented by a wonderful winelistand friendly welcoming service. we didn't have a booking on a busy wednesday night, but all efforts were made to accommodate us. will definitely be back. well done glebe point diner.

stumbled into this little place quite by accident. all of the specials on the board sounded very interesting so ordering was quick and painless.
all of the food was quite exceptional.
i am a cook myself so am unimpressed by overpriced, simple meals. this establishment is not like that. for a modern australian restaurant, this would be very close to the top of the sydneylistfor me. simple, elegant, unassuming and delicious.
one gripe would be the wine prices, which were a tad on the high side... one french wine was almost a $30 mark up from the retail price... which was a bit confusing.
the service, however, was 1st class and beyond reproach.
whether your an inner westie, an 'out of towner'... or just a eastern suburbanite who wants to buy amazing food at half the price (at least) of what your paying down the road... this place deserves your attention.
will come back in summer for the outside seating. looking forward to it!

yum!. fantastic lunch was had by all when we visited last. food is really good, good winelisttoo. service is good and atmosphere is pleasant . will continue to return time and time again.

great food & service. i have eaten here 3 times - lunch .& dinner. the food is excellent, service exemplary, winelistwell chosen. a bonus - parking is also easier down this end of glebe point road
highly recommended.

love this place! it's not cheap, but for a special dinner it's worth the extra coin. the menu is always changing, but everything i have ever had here is good. the oysters are to die for. good winelisttoo.
