not sure why there are any negative reviews... especially the comment about the olive garden. anyway, the service was great! atmosphere was just right and the food was delicious at a good value. we will bebacknext time we come to fwb.

we were there on july 4th with a party of 18. we arrived around 530 and were almost only ones there. we waited forever for our food. they made the sweet tea with salt instead of sugar and had to sendbacktwice. after about 2 hours of being there we requested our 4 checks and helped waitress review what was on each check. well after about an hour she came out with checks all messed up and manager was not willing to help! we just paid them as is to avoid being there any longer! 3 hours was way too long!

we visited the restaurant and enjoyed it so much that we returned the next night! our party of four enjoyed the calamari - cooked very light and tasty. the lobster ravioli was rich without being over the top. the pasta dishes were perfect, with meat sauce that impressed. the highlight of dinner was the stromboli made exactly to our specifications. our server, shelby, was attentive, friendly and knowledgable. she helped us reserve a table for july 4 where we sat in thebackand enjoyed a gorgeous view of the fireworks display. this was a highlight of our trip and we will comebackon our next visit. (the live music was excellent, too!)

fantastic!. my new favorite place to eat. the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. the bar area is absolutely beautiful, outside deck is covered and has a great view of their largebackyard, tiki bar, and sound. they really have put a lot of work into creating a fantastic environment for dining and having drinks.

the food is delicious! the calamari fritti is freshly battered and great tasting, including some slices of perfectly cooked zucchini. the calamari itself was cooked just right, not chewy.

i got the shrimp & salmon fettuccini and loved it. everything was cooked just as i would hope for and the salmon tasted wonderful. my friend got the manicotti and ate every bite. we ended dinner by sharing tiramisu and it too was very good, although i like a bit more of a rum flavor.

i would highly recommend cafe italia!

nice change. ordered lasagna for dinner and it was very good. the renovations to the restaurant are incredible. inside and out and especially the new bar are very nice for the area. prices have comebackin line with the fwb market. highly recommend that you give the new caffe italia one189 a try. of course their main core of servers are the great ladies you have known for years and they do a great job welcoming you and serving you in the restaurant.

wow. the prices have gone through the roof. hope the food meets the quality that jim and nada served!

mediocre brunch. have been several times for dinner (under both the old and new ownership) and absolutely love the food and atmosphere. tried them for brunch today and was disappointed. the breakfast menu is somewhat limited and over priced. everything is a la cart and can add up to be a pretty costly breakfast. bottomless mimosa/bellini/poinsettias are $14 which means you'd have to have at least three to get your money's worth. definitely the highest priced bottomless drinks in the area and the mimosa was subpar at that. would not comebackfor brunch but will definitely continue to comebackand enjoy dinner.

great food & service. tried caffe italia on a friday evening with a few gals and had a great experience (everyone else had been before). we sat outside - loved the porch overlooking the water. we were greeted immediately by our server who brought out our carafes of wine shortly after. the carafes of house wine are a great deal at $16 each. although the bruschetta sounded fantastic, we just went straight to entrees. everyone else had the lobster ravioli (except me) while i had the chicken picatta. after placing our order, our server brought us some bread and the olive oil with onions and capers - yummy. our entrees were deliciously prepared and hot. i tried some of the ravioli and mussels - will definitely be getting that next time. we were not rushed at all and enjoyed a leisurely meal. the owners stopped to talk and ask how everything was, very friendly people. my fiance also asked me to bring him home some chicken alfredo and when i asked the server, she told me it was not on the menu but they could probably make it. they did and it was great. now that is what i call service!
