great pizza. my first visit to thisplaceand i am impressed. my wife and i passed by and from the charm we were automatically hungry for new york style pizza. we parked and when we went in didn't realize that it was exactly closing time. however the owner said no problem have a seat. he took our order and probably 3 minutes after we had sat down he told the next customer that he was closing and could only serve him something simple as the cook's have finished for the evening. the gentleman left at which time the owner shared small talk awaiting the pizza. he assured me the pizza was not like you get at the commercial pizza places. he was right on the money with his statement, it was one of the best pizzas i have eaten. i would highly recommend thisplacefor pizza, i'm going back to try other items on the menu. as far as the owners being rude. i didn't see that at all. in fact i saw the opposite. it could be that sometimes rude customers get what they dish out and they don't like it. everyone has a bad day, and i wasn't there and their are 4 sides to every story... yours, mine, the truth and speculation. i give them 2 two thumbs up, and 5 stars.

the best pizza and cannoli i have ever had. the atmosphere is great and very comfortable. theplaceis clean the service is fantastic. we will be back. guaranteed.

excellent italian, greek, and german food; very attractive, informal décor, friendly, expert staff.  this is aplacethat you will want to visit often.

worst pizzaplaceever. so i went to go pick up dinner and when i got home i noticed that the pizza wasn't the right size my wife called and the lady that owns thisplacewas more than extremely rude wouldn't let my wife finish a sentence and hung up on her twice. i promise that my wife was way more polite than she should have been. first time trying thisplaceand definitely the last. save yourself the hassle and order papa johns. they deliver and their pizza is way cheaper and way better

horrible service. i visited thisplacewith my family (niece, brother, mom and myself) for lunch on friday, august 15. we got there at 12:00 and placed our order. around 20-25 mins later the cook comes to our table to let us know they were out of bratwursts sausages. letting me know then that they just started cooking our food. so i asked the cook how long would it be for them to have our food out, his response was "we are not a fast food restaurant!". very rude! we didn't get our food until like 12:45 and had to be back at work at 1:00. they were not apologetic or even tried to explain why it took so long to bring our food or anything. i watched several customers come in after we did and get their food before we received ours. my first time eating here and my last time. service sucked!

i forgot to mention theplaceis changed a bit over the last year, if your looking for a fancy restaurant go elsewhere but if you're looking for amazing gyros and nice people go to giovanna's!

i came last year and had the gyro. better than anything i've ever had when i lived in greece. since i came back from greece i've tried gyros everywhere attempting to find one comparable. i was not ever successful until giovanna's. not only was it as good, but it's better!! you will wait a few minutes to get your food. it's not mcdonald's and so dang good! it's worth the wait and for military it's worth being late for! i've never written a review for any restaurant. this is worth my time!

try someplace else for the money. food was mediocre...prices rather high...place physically was a hodgepoge of styles...mostly early buy out of other failed restaurants....i bought a carry out new york style pizza...it was almost $25....was under cooked...dough was consistency of soggy paper towels....there is aplaceacross from lowes if yer looking for a near new york style pizza....giovannis does not make them regardless of what they call them!

best local pizzeria in the area. thisplaceis a little known gem in phenix city, al. first off, this is the best local pizzeria that i know of. i had the supreme calzone and it was awesome! i can't speak for the pizzas (yet) but i can assume they will be good. the owner is very nice and was very accommodating. i would highly recommend this place! also, they appear to serve a daily lunch 1 meat and 3 sides, which is probably worth checking out! i hear rave reviews about the philly!! can't wait to go back!!!

awesomeplaceto eat. they have a great selection of food. i have had their salads, pizzas, calzone, and their chicken philly cheese. i loved them all. i recommend thisplacefor sure! they also have great ice cream and customer service!

most awesome lunch. giovanna's offers an awesome lunch during the week. great atmosphere. i have never had a bad meal there.homestyle cooking, fast service.the hamburger steak is to die for. food like grandma used to make. management and employees are all friendly and david tyler playing music requests. you have got to try it. you will be a return customer. bestplaceto eat lunch in phenix city.

delish!. i got the personal sausage pizza (10") there and split it with a friend. wonderful.
they used to have falafel gyros and they were my favorite! and the onlyplacein town you can get falafel, but they don't make them anymore because it's not cost efficient :( but everything i've ever had was great.
