still the same great gino's years later. i am amazed that years later gino's still has amazing food that doesn't taste any different from my last visit years ago. in tampa it feels like chefs are always switching all the time and flavor comes and goes with it, but not the case here. while we were snacking on beer battered onion rings at mr. dunderbak's on bruce b. downs, i started remembered the fantastic taste of onion rings with gino's incredible burgers and decided i had to have some gino's.
i convinced my friends to head there since i didn't order at mr. d's. found gino's to be very packed, which i am really happy about because they deserve that crowd. i don't think it used to get that packed when i used to live right next door. when we got a seat i immediately flipped my menu to their burgers and found my favorite "mother earth" burger. so happy to find it still on the menu.
i used to order this burger over the phone and just by hearing my voice they used to know exactly how i wanted it to be made. that's what i call great service. my friend ordered some dessert as well.
man i just can't believe i haven't been to this place in so long. the burgers are so good, way better than most places i have had in a long time. the cheddar cheese has such a fresh taste and the beef just melts in your mouth with it. the onion rings are great as well, juicy and the onion is cooked to perfection (i normally like to dip them in some mayo which i will only do here).
my friends were so impressed they wished we had come here first, but fear not because we will be returning soon. oh and that dessert was so good that my friend had to break his calorie diet for a few bites of it.
thanks you gino's.
