still the same great gino's years later. i am amazed that years later gino's still has amazing food that doesn't taste any different from my last visit years ago. in tampa it feels like chefs are always switching all the time and flavor comes and goes with it, but not the case here. while we were snacking on beer battered onion rings at mr. dunderbak's on bruce b. downs, i started remembered the fantastic taste of onion rings with gino's incredible burgers and decided i had to have some gino's.

i convinced my friends to head there since i didn't order at mr. d's. found gino's to be very packed, which i am really happy about because they deserve that crowd. i don't think it used to get that packed when i used to live right next door. when we got a seat i immediately flipped my menu to their burgers and found my favorite "mother earth" burger. so happy to find it still on the menu.

i used to order this burger over the phone and just by hearing my voice they used to know exactly how i wanted it to be made. that's what i call great service. my friend ordered some dessert as well.

man i just can't believe i haven't been to this place in so long. the burgers are so good, way better than most places i have had in a long time. the cheddar cheese has such a fresh taste and the beef just melts in your mouth with it. the onion rings are great as well, juicy and the onion is cooked to perfection (i normally like to dip them in some mayo which i will only do here).

my friends were so impressed they wished we had come here first, but fear not because we will be returning soon. oh and that dessert was so good that my friend had to break his calorie diet for a few bites of it.

thanks you gino's.

food not done!. i was a regular and often took my family and friends. then, i got pizza a very very cold center. bartender told me that it couldn't be cold because it was fresh made. no other help or resolution. then, i took several family members for meatloaf. huge portions. totally cold red centers, pretty scary considering ingredients in meatloaf. sent it back, came back almost warm in center. just ate the outside. no manager or owner ever approached us. wow! we just don' t go anymore.

not coming back. look like it change administration, my family decide to give a try to this place back in november and it was the best italian food in town, but came back for more this friday and i don't know what happened to them but i did not like all the changes they did to the food. from the salad, appetizer, entrees in general all the food flavor and presentation went from a 5 start restaurant to 2 start cafeteria food. come back to gino's if you want to wait a long time for cold food.

wife and i went to eat at your restaurant and the food was horrible my wife had so called grouper with the thickest nastiest lemon caper sauce the only thing worse was the quart of alfredo sauce on the pasta that came with it. i had steak marcela the steak was charbroiled and tasted like a novice teenager on a grill practiced on my dinner i am so disappointed with the food. my wife and i were excited to find a italian restaurant close to work only to find a train wreck

great food and great service!. i have now made this one of my "got to have places to eat every week". i have tried about everything on the menu. the portions are very generous and the quality of the food is second to none. the owner is there most of the time preparing the food himself. it is worth searching out to have a dining experience that will keep you coming back over and over again.

best italian in tampa. you won't find better than gino's in the tampa bay area. i dare you to find a better eggplant parmesan than they serve there. my absolute favorite place locally!

it was a little busy when we arrived but we were seated immediately. we received our drink order fairly quick. then the serviced down spiralled from there. the waiter was not attentive to us. it took nearly an hour to receive our meals. he also took way took long to refill our drinks. after 55 minutes to get our food, they some what redeemed themselves. the food was delicious. i had seafood pasta. so good. if it wasnt for the poor service, i would have given this 4 stars. great food, poor service.

best italian. found this by mistake and stopped in. have become a return customer. the lasagna is really good and not many places use spinach. not sure if this is italian or sicilian but its great.
the bruschetta is excellent and fresh tasting.
if you have not had the fried ravioli you are cheating yourself out of a special treat.
the tiramisu is the best i have had in ages. close to grandma's.
take it from an italian this place is as close as you can get to an italian grandma's cooking. prices are moderate. i dont want to say cheap but they dont charge enough for the quality and quantity they serve.
only draw back is it is small and confining but the wait staff were very friendly and outgoing except for the hostess, she seems a bit miffed every time we go in. might just be her personality but no one can be mad all the time. can they? but for the food we put up with her dont care if your here or elsewhere attitude.

perfect. went for my husbands birthday last night because the colombian place around the corner we were headed for had shut down. so,glad it did because this place was amazing and excellent service...it's small and a bit cramped but that adds to the character. our server was awesome and has been there for 26 years! the guy that complained about the bruschetta...we had it as well and it was definitely not your typical fresh tomato bruschetta that you get most places i loved it...i've noticed many small italian places use their own twist on bruschetta. my husband are extremely discerning eaters and do not often go to restaurants because we make most things much better at home and for less but i would gladly drive from wesley chapel again to go to gino's. and while i'm sure they don't turn children away its really not an appropriate setting for kids or even large parties...more of an intimate venue for a date or small group.
