this past week was a much slower week in food adventures. most of what i ate was either home-cooked or some form of fast food (in fact i have been eating way too much fast food…such a waste of money and not to mention super bad for you). however, i did m

i'm stuffed!. i just got home from my first visit to ginos. what a cool place. their home made italian dressing and their bread is to die for! their wait staff all seemed real friendly and the prices were very reasonable. not being a fan of a ton of garlic i was happy that they didn't load everything full of garlic like many italian places.... just the right amount!

flawless!. i decided to take a woman there for our first date. i couldn't have picked a better place! the food was cooked to perfection, the service was great, the flavor was overwhelming! i have been to so many restaurants where either the service was poor or the food was bland and i have walked away just disappointed. not at gino's! if you are looking for a cozy little place to get some amazing food this is it!
i didn't know what to expect as far as prices went but for an appetizer, and two dinners i spent about $60 including the tip. most meals were around $17 but went up to about $28 appetizers ran about $8 each. the parking lot is small so get there before it gets busy.

great straightforward italian. the key to good italian cooking is the sauce. gino's tomato sauces are just about perfect, making it the best italian restaurant in tampa, imo.

as a side, the wine and beer selections are lengthy and diverse. but it's the perfectly-prepared italian staples (and big sicilian portions) that keep me coming back.

pretty good.. gino's has been in my neighborhood since i can remember and i have eaten there countless times. so what if it's located behind a 7-11 and what used to be an old lawn mower repair shop turned tire store? the food is really good. the chicken/ eggplant parmesean is top quality and should be tried at least once. some of the entrees you may not find to be up to the same standards as others such as the chicken marsala and a few others and the salads are kind of laughable but all in all you will almost definitely have a great experience when you go.
