we had a largeish table of 8 so we opted on getting the $65 jeeb set meal. it was a three course sharing meal. they also asked if there was anything on the menu we would like to have so that they could include it.
the entrees consisted of flat bread, hummus, tabbouleh, khyar (cucumber), mihshee flayfle (stuffed capsicum) and anrabeet (cauliflower). all the dishes were really tasty but the cauliflower one beat out the rest in flavour, although the capsicum and cucumber ones were quite close. we hungrily guzzled them with the bread and it was just great.
some were already getting full when the mains came out. we had the falafel, hapuka as the market fish, and lamb shoulder with the batata harra (potatoes) on the side. the lamb alone would have been worth the trip, crispy and sweet skin with tender and juicy meat served with mougrabeye (kinda like large israeli cous cous). i also thought that the fish was cooked really well.
for dessert, we had the knefe and the halooum. the knefe was crispy and sweet with a raspberry sorbet on top. the halooum was almost like an ice cream sandwich using cheesecake base. it had a lemon sorbet which was a bit to sharp for me. we did find it weird that we were served three knefe and two halooum but we were too stuffed to ask about it.
our servers were great, friendly and helpful and kept an eye on drinks and water for the table. they also packed the leftovers for us to take home.
a really great place for amazing (amount and quality) food and service. i should also note that the main dining area overlooks myers park and does have a good view of the sky tower.
