absolutely yummy food. their marwai sukka, chicken biriyani and fish fries are super delicious. enjoyed everything to the last bite.
great ambiance and service too.
please continue the good and tasty food. love this place.

after looking at reviews had been yesterday at a rainy day. the place is located inside the quarters and as soon as u reach a beautiful fountain welcomes you.

as expected, the food was really nice. ordered mangalore special - chicken ghee roast which was spicy and tender. butter nan with chicken rara was super tasty. jeera rice was nice with gravy.

staff are courteous and u have outside seating as well if u wish to drink. altogether nice place to visit when u drop in mangalore.

best option for seafood in mangalore especially crab ,prawns ghee roast, crab ghee roast, squid deep fry with neer dosa and chicken fried rice are my favourites here. kulfi also available in mango, sitaphal and malai flavours tastes good👍🏻expensive but highly satisfied with the quality, taste and service by the staff.

sunday dinner to gajalee after a long time ,good sea food ,but disappointed with main course of aloo paratha ,which was salty and one of its of not fully cooked ,and main course mutton curry and veg kolapuri quantities was inadequate.

heavenly crab ghee roast. worth dying for. sort of colonial feeling when you step in. decent wait time for your food. friendly and caring service.

this is my visit here after a long time.standard ambience for this restaurant.nothing extraordinary.
the seafood here is brilliant.we had lobsters, pomphret masala fry , prawns dry, roast chilly chicken .we liked the roast chilly chicken so much that we asked for two rounds of it .
we ordered the mutton curry with mutton from bannur.it was so well done that the mutton literally slid off the bone with neer dosa .my friend naveed loved the neer dosa because with had a shine he says is indicative that's it's freshly made .
we had fresh lime soda ..this place had really large parking space available as it's situated in the old government circuit house plot as well.the service staff were really great

been to this place for lunch on the last day of my trip in managlore. the location of the restaurant ( on a hill top) and the ambience were good.
coming to the food, we have ordered neer dosa, chicken sukka and anjal tawa fry.
the combination of neer dosa with chicken sukka was very good. in fact i ate more of the chicken sukka than neer dosa. by this time in mangalore, chicken sukka has become one of my favourite dishes. the anjal tawa fry was just decent, not so good i would say.
on the whole it was a decent experience at0 gajalee. i would rate this as
food - 3.5/5

best place for seafood in mlore ....gajalee....a must try place ..warm n soothing interiors ...loved the cosy seating arrangements ...the building is a traditional tiled roof bungalow ...great view of mlore from the garden ...hospitable staff ...service was quick ..the sea food was fresh ...neer dosa was soft n lacy ....prawn ghee roast was lipsmacking !! i enjoied the neer dosa n prawn ghee roast combo !!

obviously the go-to place in mangalore for seafood. for starters we had the reshmi kabab and paneer kabab, both of which were mouth-watering. main course we checked out their seafood options, had the prawns biriyani and prawns ghee roast which was definitely worth the price.
the restaurant itself is spacious and beautiful and has a1 waiters.

placed in a rather secluded locations of mangalore, gajalee is a drive away from the city. this place has a particular charm on its nights, as they are well-lit and is atop a small hillock!
i had been here mostly at nights and the ambience outside the yard is beautiful.
however, the food was nothing particularly special, it was ordinary and the service was a let down due to the long wait for food after the order.

and, as i'd say, no food price for any outlet in mangalore is ever 'costly' if you compare it with other cities. this would be pricey if you compare other outlets in mangalore.

overall, a good place with average food and a lovely ambience!

service is really poor. waiter forgot the order and then had the audacity to fight with us that we did not even place the order. would not recommend this place.

this place is famous for sea food , overall the food here is average . ambience is good be it indoor or outdoor . they usually suggest you crab but it’s not upto the mark as per specialty of a sea food place.

the best seafood restaurant in india, the crab mai thai soup and mixed seafood soup are simply amazing, the fish kabab and fish tikka are mouth watering, the sea bass chile and crab sticks are the best i have had anywhere in the country. best place to go with family as the scenic view adds to the dining experience

its in a beautiful location. the staff are friendly and polite... we ordered chicken peshavari(good,but very heavy), malai kabab(okay), tangdi kabab(nice).
the chicken biriyani was nice also but the nans were too chewy
be sure to order the mushroom munchurian which is simply out of the world👌👌👌
