great sushi. great place to get sushi, prices are as expected for sushi, but reasonable ($10-15 per specialty roll). fresh sushi that tastes great and is always presented well on the plate sometimes even with art work done using sauces. see the picture of the sushi art i posted to get a good idea, i use this place as a good date spot. theserviceis ok.

awesome food. i have been to fuji five or six times and have had a great experience each time. funny as sushi is a decent portion of their menu and i do not eat sushi but the beef teriyaki and beef nagiyaki are incredible and the presentation is impressive. i feel kind of bad devouring it as it is so delicately arranged. my husband loves their food as well and theservicewe have received has been great each time.

rushed. as i was looking for a place at the last minute to eat at with my partner, we saw this location and decided to stop in. it appears as they were cleaning up to close two hours early, we decided to sit down. we expected to be presented with greatserviceand i thought wrong. our food did not appear well prepared. my sashimi was warm. my partner looked at her wrap and after one bite, she did not want to eat the rest. i decided that it was not worth my time to return to this place after this experience.

terrible service. i hoped for better.

disappointing at best. as we're sushi aficionados, we were told of fuji grills excellence in japanese cuisine from friends. always willing to try new restaurants, we drove from olean to williamsville for my wife's birthday dinner. we were initially seated in the middle of a noisy dining area. when we asked to be moved to an empty, quieter table, we were told that it was "taken" (yet vacant) so we adjourned to the sushi bar. we ordered a volcano roll and were disappointed that was flavorless. we then tried our favorite 3 to make an educated comparison to our other sushi experiences; salmon (sake), tuna (maguro)and eel (unagi). the unagi was as good as any we've had but the sake was not very fresh and the tuna was tough. neither plates were served with ginger or wasabi. i realize wasabi is an american adaptation of a traditional japanese meal but we were, after all, in williamsville, ny. disappointed and not wanting to spend any more money we left. our total, including two large sapporo beers was $43 + tip. as we exited, we noticed the table we were denied was still vacant. we completed our evening at our favorite sushi restaurant, sakura, near the galleria mall and enjoyed a quiet dinner with excellentservice& sushi as always. so much for trying new places. and, yes, we were both weaned on california sushi and have had sushi in places like hawaii as well so i "know my sushi". also, the décor wasn't much to admire either. the sushi bar was topped with stained 2x4's in at attempt to create some kind of "awning" effect which just looked cheesy. i've seen better décor in some south buffalo basements.
