what's wrong with jeff x. there isn't a soul who has visited this restaurant that thinks the way you do. you obviously have some childish beef with the owner or you are connected to a competing restaurant.

sad to see you defaming a great place and someones lifestyle and family the way that you do.

that was one of the worst restaurants ever! we saw the chef's hands that were the dirtiest things ever! plus who the heck put sugar on nachos and fries! terrible.

paid another visit to fronk's for dinner. being a fan of the spicy mother clucker sandwich from a previous visit, i decided to order it once again as well as try the red eye sammy.

the spicy mother clucker was as delicious as the last time i had it. i love the seasoning of the blackened chicken and the flavor of the chipotle ranch. the red eye sammy (bbq pulled pork sandwich) was also good and a lot better than i anticipated. the flavor of the bbq sauce didn't overpower the actual flavor of the meat which is great. the habanero relish gives it a kick and the fried egg supplied the oozing yolk. if you've read any of my previous reviews that involve anything with an egg, you'll know i love egg yolk haha.

to wash it down i ordered a fronken punch. it's very lite on the alcahol but very refreshing nonetheless. definitely worth a try. another satisfying visit...good food and good service.

visit dates 6/16/2016 and 8/29/2015

my god this place had some great food. amazing customer service. generous, borderline gluttonous portions. their brownie desert is a must... it literally melts in your mouth, chewing is optional (brownie, ice cream, peanuts, chocolate, and whipped cream).

for food: ribs could have been more tender, but flavor made up for any toughness. sweet potatoe firs could have been thinner and crisper, but flavor and season compensated. sliders were amazing.

no hard liquor, but homemade sodas and craft beers were great.

there are certain foods that people get the most passionate about. pizza, mexican food, and hamburgers are the items that get the most comments and arguments on my blog. people always think that their local spot for pizza is great, or that the mexican restaurant that they eat at every friday night makes the best carnitas. burgers are probably the food that gets the most debate on these pages. everyone seems to have an opinion, which i love, because it just means i get to try more burgers. that's what brought us to fronk's. after i declared that g burger is my favorite burger place in oc for now, a reader of the blog, debi, wrote me and told me that i must try fronk's in bellflower. although not in oc, she claimed that it was right up there with the burgers that she had at g burger. i wrote down the name, checked out the menu, and waited patiently for the opportunity to try fronk's. that chance came about a month later. we got roped into

a delight in bellflower. while fronk's sits in its location humbly as somehwhat of a "hotspot" i decided to go over there recently to check it out again as it has been a couple of years since i've been there. they are a bbq spot, but are more known for their creative and tasty burgers. everything is fresh and homemade and they rock a most bodacious selection of hot sauces to put on your food if you like. i love that they even have chipotle flavored "tobasco!"

service is incredible here. it is so welcoming, kind, attentive, and fast.

there is plenty of room for seating as they have both booths and regular tables.

they specialize in a tender, juicy, well seasoned pulled pork, but is just that...pulled pork. i made the mistake of thinking it was a bbq pulled pork and that it was going to be swimming in their glorious sweet sauce, but nope. fear not though. if you'd like it that way then all you have to do is ask.

there is plenty of parking available.

i definitely recommend checking out fronk's. their onion rings are incredible. you can either order them in a half order like i did or a full order. they are homemade of course.

amazing at first. found this place by accident as we were searching for a route around la traffic. started off with the fried corn on the cob and a house made vanilla soda. loved them both. corn served very hot temperature-wise. great batter on the corn is also used on other fried veggies and onion rings. tried the fronkenburger and a cheeseburger for the main course. burger meat is quality tasting. the rolls are too thin to survive the entire meal and the burger gets messy quickly. fronkenburger is loaded with onions and bacon all the way to last bite. overall a 7.5 / 10. the cheeseburger was good but ordinary (6/10). we were, however, most disappointed in the fries. home made fries, some golden brown and perfect but most were undercooked and the potato used was green under the skin - the kind we throw away at home when making fries. we ended up removing about 3/4 of the fries from the plate. we would try it again for the pulled pork. but will stay away from the fries...

the best!!! eat @ fronk's was bomdiggidy!. burgers great. bbq great. i had the frunkenburger, which has beer battered onion rings and maple brown bacon. the servings are big, with many side choices. its a little out of my budget but definitely you get your moneys worth.
i over-payed at jonny rebes - which didn't taste half as good.
very friendly and chill environment. i even got a free appetizer coupon.
highly recommend :d
