i've eaten here several times over the past few years, and have never been disappointed. the food is imaginative and well-executed, the service is friendly and attentive, and the decor is pleasant. this is one of my "go-to" places for special dinners, and almost (if not quite) helps me get over the loss of a previous occupant of that space, doughty's bistro.

short ribs and mash to die for. trout is the best i've had and i don't like fish much. kale on the side is way too salty so maybe substitute for something else. bosc pear salad is ok. this place is a must eat.

great food but.... food was good as always. would have been better if i was able to have the butter cake...actually, specifically went there to have their butter cake and asked the server to set aside 2 cakes for the table as soon as we sat down. we get through the meal and the server waited until we were done to tell us that they cakes were all gone, really!

food is amazing. the dishes we've ordered here have been some new favorites. the butter cake is incredible! the tables are very close, so make sure to make requests in reservations. the first time we were here my boyfriend had a woman in the table next to us spill red wine at her table and it got all over his white shirt. i was set on not returning until the food came out! i ordered vegan the first time and he got the roasted chicken. both were great.

fork is located in a historic bank building right downtown boise. they’ve done some very nice remodeling, with warm woods and hip striped carpeting. it has a great vibe and a good ambiance. however, the tables are packed in far too close together so it feels like you’re eating dinner with the 2 tables on either side of you. in fact, you could just reach over and grab some of their fries off their plate if you wanted to. other than that, i liked the feel and was ready for some good dining. - see more at: http://thebaldgourmet.com/review-fork-restaurant-boise/#sthash.ecbtbxtx.dpuf

i'm getting to be a regular :) don't understand the negative reviews, since this place is always busy. still crave the raspberry butter cake dessert. still very good atmosphere. still love it!

i went to fork on a friday night, not my pick it was my good friends birthday that night. first off we made a reservation for 8:15, got there and was told they had given our table away already because our whole party wasn't there right at 8:15. we waited for 20 minutes for another table to open up. we ordered two appetizers that took about 25 minutes to come to our table then our food came out about another 25-30 mins later. i understand they were busy but our service was terrible and our waitress checked on us maybe twice. the food was actually decent but the service and atmosphere made it not worth going back for.

chicken and waffle was outstanding! in a town where everything seems overlooked, fork nails this dish with precision. the orange honey butter is perfect compliment to balsamic infused syrup. chicken cooked perfectly fried skin was remarkable.

way overhyped!. i can't figure out why there are so many good reviews of this place. i've been four or five times now and i've never had a good meal. i keep thinking it must just be bad luck? i've tried the "famous" fork urban burger several times. it's just a regular burger. the presentation of the burger is fancy, but nothing else about it is special. the burger at bittercreek or the falcon is much better. the parmesan-rosemary fries have no rosemary on them half the time. they’re bland and uninspired. i had the grilled portobello sandwich a few weeks back and it was really bad--slimy with tasteless avocado slathered all over it. yes, the atmosphere is nice, the service is generally good (although not always), and the concept is a nice idea. this place is so overrated. there are much better choices in downtown boise. go ahead and try it yourself, but i think i’m done paying premium price for a below average meal at fork.

we were there on a saturday around lunch time, and were able to order from their ‘build your own bloody mary’ bar. after you select from a couple of vodka and tequila options, you walk over to the counter where you are presented with your standard clamato juice, a large number of hot sauces, seasonings, salts and veggies. i could have made three drinks to try some of the combinations i saw there...

everything i've had there is great. the shrimp app with rice is flavorful and a touch spicy. the burger is so obviously fresh; the flavor of the meat is amazing. the fries have parmesan and something else on them. the cheese plate has a great selection and really nice accompaniments. the mini donuts and s'mores are so good i save room for them.

fork. this restaurant is a must eat in the down-town boise area. the location which the restaurant is curently located used to be a run down, nasty, disgusting bar. i am amazed at how this location has become an exquisite restaurant in boise. it is hard to decide which is better; the food, or the decor. superlative food and service. i am so happy to see a revival of amazing restaurants in down-town instead of obxnious bars!

fab!. what a great experience. food & drink were the best i've had in a long time. service was ok, i think it was just so busy the waitress was overwhelmed. we will be going back often. great farm to table resturant!
