consistently inconsistent service. we are locals in nb. we really loved the first couple of dining experiences at the f&s. but then we began to notice that about one out of every 3 times that we ate there, something would go terribly wrong with the service. an inordinately longwaitfor service or our food. then, we had family in town and took a group of about 8 of us there for brunch; big mistake. they absolutely cannot handle large groups, at all. extremely long wait, cold food, wrong orders, & missed orders. it was embarrassing. several in our party wound up just canceling their orders, because some were finished eating and other orders hadn't shown up yet.
the last time we went there i ordered coffee & got the cup spilled on the table. as we scrambled around trying to clean up the mess, staff just walked past, swerving to avoid getting involved. when i asked one of the waitresses to please get me a towel she snapped back, "i will in a minute!" & walked on while coffee continued to run all over the table & drip onto the floor (they use very large cups). finally one of the staff threw us a towel but no one ever even offered to help wipe the table down. the waitress never offered to refill my coffee cup & seemed oblivious to the whole matter.
the management are really nice people but they have a young, in experienced staff that, if left to their own devices, will run their business off. i know that customer service is kind of a lost art in this day & time, but they take losing it to a whole new level. could not recommend!
