simply fantastic!. we so enjoyed our first visit to ford's this past friday! as native, coastal new englanders who recently relocated to nova, we hadn't found a good seafood restaurant. ford's surpassed all of our expectations and reset the bar for amazing seafood. the fish and chips were superbly beer battered with quality brooklyn ale. the plate came in a newspaper parchment lined basket with 5 large pieces of beer battered fish, shoestring french fried potatoes, and a sublimely seasoned coleslaw. the accompanying tartar sauce was a simple blend including dill, capers, and some other source of deliciousness that served as the perfect accompaniment to the tender, succulent fish. the atmosphere was awesome - sirius radio filled the air with a great nostalgic sound of 70's and 80's music. the general manager, wayne, was welcoming and attentive. the executive chef and owner was a gem taking a personal interest to insure we were ultimately satisfied with our meals. tony even took time to speak with my eldest son, a 12 yr old aspiring chef, and gave him a confectioner's dream of a recipe for homemade marshmallows. this was truly a delightful experience from beginning to end. on top the fabulous dining experience, the price was very reasonable - less expensive then a cliche red lobster and ions better in quality, service, and attention to detail. everyone should give this place a go. as a side note, they do have call ahead seating.
