the only down fall of this place is the drive out there! but the atmosphere is very cool. sit outside and you're right on the docks and can watch the boats come and go. the service was great. staff were very friendly. food was delicious! also very kid friendly. i love this place and will definitely be back!

go for the she-crab soup... nothing else.. we went for dinner there tonight. the she-crab soup was absolutely amazing, but everything else was mediocre at best, including the service.

highly recommend this! loved it!. it's a lot like jimmy buffet's margaritaville. great food at a great price! it's as simple as that. the service was excellent. the restaurant/bar has a beachy theme. the catfish platter was amazing along with the crab cakes, shrimp fajitas, and onion rings. i can't wait to go back. what i loved most about it is that it is at a marina, so you can get off your boat and eat and ride back off into the sunset. you can also drive to it. highly recommend this to anyone in the richmond hill area!

a great alternative to downtown savannah if you want to sit near the water and eat outside. beautiful view, particularly if you like boats. the staff was very friendly and the shrimp and fish were very fresh and well prepared. my only complaint would be the prices. the portions are a bit smaller than their competitors for the same price. the gumbo, while good, was not great and very small for $7! i would recommend skipping that.

when we travel, my wife and i search out restaurants on the water that are out of the way, and big with the locals. on a trip going through georgia we found fish tales. we had to sit in the bar area which we dreaded at first, the wait was terrible. being sat at the bar was the best thing that could've happened. we were so entertained, and pampered by our bartender named morgan. we will stop every time we pass through there. if you are in the area treat yourself to some good fried food and great service at the bar.

my bar experience. outside service was terrible, manager was not friendly and waits were long, sometimes i was curious if the staff was still on the clock. however, the service at the inside bar was exceptional. bar tender was very attractive (12 out of 10), full bar was managed well and did not ever feel like i was waiting on service. food was decent. tips would be better if the bartenders/waitresses weren't always bundled up like ralphy from the christmas story.

we all did not like it. do not get the crab cakes, all breading. mcallister plater was over priced for the small amount of bland seafood.

all about the atmosphere. when we go to fish tales, it's because of the atmosphere. there is no where else like it in richmond hill. but the food always leaves something to be desired. kinda bland, not a lot of creativity in the kitchen. typical southern fried food for the most part. not a lot of variety in local fresh fish. we have always had good service, attentive wait staff.

not family friendly. welcome home jameson. headed to fish tales to enjoy the first evening together. three couples and 5 children were occupying two tables and the manager demanded that our children vacate the other table. after a few back and forths she brought out a card table for our children to put their drinks on, but no chairs for the kids. at some point the manager called the sheriffs dept on us to have us removed from the premises because we were a nuisance. apparently our children are a nuisance?! absolutely ridiculous.

the kid's table with one chair for 5 children. what we were offered after our children were removed from their table. they did all order meals and drinks.

all you can eat 4 inch minners. decorations are great. waitress not very friendly. all you can eat catfish was horrible. had to pick bones out of teeth. they didn't even offer another dish. hush puppies were not bad.

food was good nothing special but service gets the worst service award waited 30 min for check and another 15 min to check us out.

mostly unenjoyable. nice place. relaxed but not private. friendly staff. but....after being seated, waited for a good awhile before our orders were taken. took way too long (about an hour) to get just decent food. prices are high, service is slow. probably won't patronize establishment again.

love it!. we eat here several times a month and keep coming back for more. butch has great seafood, creative specials, and an attentive, well trained wait staff. the atmosphere and sunsets over the ogeechee are to die for. live entertainment on the patio is always a plus.

big thumbs up. my husband and i are in love with the smoked oysters. we have never gotten anything that disappointed. love the baby catfish, hushpuppies, grits and shrimp..i could go on and on. friendly staff! great atmoshpere!
