first chinese bbq

wasnt really sure about this place but decided to give it s shot. so glad i did. i only split my meal with a friend, and the crispy noodles withchickenwas out of this world good! i'll be back. i keep thinking about bow yummy it was, and can't wait to bring hubby. definitely a hidden gem.

years of great food. my family started going there about 25 yrs ago. then there were only asian customers. now there are many types of people. i love how they love my children now my grandchildren, we order pretty much the same thing and have our favorite waiters many have left and gone back over sea. don't get upset if waiters or short or seemly not personal. most don't speak english and have lots of people and orders to work out. we love the fountain cokes and even stop for cokes to go. love the 402 one the menu and the bar b que pork, hot and sour soup, the wonton soup, the sesamechickenand snow peas with garlic salt in season. we love the chinese broculli, the saltchickenis to die for. and my hubby and i have gone in and shared a table with three other couples when the place is busy. it is cash only so don't forget or you will have to leave your family and run to an atm like we have done several time! years ago number 402 was 41 on the menu and we would use our beepers to contact everyone to go there for dinner by beeping 41. they don't mind babies learning to eat. and have come by our table to play with babies and feed them. great place...no dress code...get there by 8:30 or possibly no service!! see you there!!

so many delicious choices. when you go here, there's probably 4 or 5 things on the menu that you'll want. sticking to the basics for my first visit, i went with the bbq pork and roast duck. sadly, they were out duck, but i guess that says something, right? the pork however was excellent, tender, full of flavor, but not terribly greasy. i ended up swapping duck forchickenand i found thechickena bit forgettable, maybe because the pork was so good. my buddy dining with me ordered chili crab, which was a special. the crabs were a bit small and didn't offer much meat, but the chili rub/sauce was very tasty and the excess was a great way to doctor up the rice.

i will for sure come back again. i'm really wanting to try more dishes like the noodle soups, seafood items, the clay hotpots, and of course that duck! oh and the best part? all but 3 or 4 dishes on the menu are under $10. cash only though, so plan accordingly.
