we were told to not miss having fergburgers at any cost. we tried it once and it was soo good. us being indians and vegetarians, despite of them not understanding our language they knew we wanted a veg burger without egg and they did give us.
it was soo yummy
and the pretzel was so bigg in size. ive never seen a pretzel so big and tasty

i finally decided to visit this on my last night in queenstown since there was so much hype and whoa is it worth the time and money! it had a large crowd waiting as usual, we lined up and ordered the tropical swine and the steak burger and some fries. the burgers are huge! my partner and i both enjoyed our burgers immensely, as well as the fries. i had the steak burger and still dream about eating it again -- the steak is pre-chopped (not a whole steak stuffed into a burger), was so tender and was easily chewable so i didn't have to eat a whole bit of steak and then have steakless bread.

when i was asking for recommendations on where to eat in queenstown, new zeland. fergburger was on the top of the list, renowned for their prime beef burgers and no trip is complete without having one of these. they also offer the usual chicken, lamb and not so usual exotic meats. fergburger started as a hole in the wall down an alleyway before making a permeant residence on 42 shotover street.

judging by the line that went out the door of this place, it had to be a must-try in queenstown ! i tried the original ferg burger with added avocado, with a side of onion rings. the burger was physically huge! definitely good if you’re hungry. the burger itself was good, not the best i’ve had but not the worst either. sort of middle ground for me. onion rings on the other hand were great! crispy, and went well with the sauce it came with.

i now know why the queues are ridiculously long, the burgers are amazing and worth the wait.
hubby and i visited this place at 8:00 am in the morning to avoid the long queues and to my surprise, it was a tad busy with people enjoying these burgers and it wasn't
even 8:30 am!
my fav burger is the bullseye - ribeye steak cooked medium and paired with caramelised white onion and cheese of your choice. hubby ordered the big al which is massive - two meat patties, bacon, two eggs and beetroot. although big, he enjoyed it but was too messy to eat.
a must visit to try out their burgers before you leave queenstown.

hands down, the best burger i’ve tried. there’s a huge line though and the wait is quite dizzying , but the burgers are worth it. eat them while they’re hot as it tends to bring out the flavour more .

prepare for the queues! spent about 30-40 mins from queuing to getting food.

tried both the cod father and the ferg burger.
i would tend to agree they might be the best burger joint in nz. they can also do the burger bunless but i dont think they advertise the fact.

best to take out and eat down the road with a good view

chief wiggum; super crunchy pork belly skin made all the difference to an otherwise soft burger, flavorful pork, good crunchy veg added in, however personally i wouldn’t want a hash brown in my burger but aside from that the pork was generous in portion and it was delicious! 4/5
bullseye; really juicy ribeye steak, hella big chunk, very generous and well cooked, definitely expensive but if you’re a beef fan it may be worth a try! 4/5 for quality but not sure about its price!
sides ordered: hand cut onion rings with aioli; large rings, well crunchy exterior with soft interior, salt and pepper squid with wasabi mayonnaise; crunchy and chewy, wel paired with sauce. 3.5/5
overall i’d just op for their famous burgers as an experience, the sides can be skipped, and although expensive, it’s worth it for that queenstown experience!

hehe round two: definitely phone order and skip the cue!
little lamby and sweet bambi this time: both patties done well, succulent and tender, the sweet chutney/relish in each burger paired well and was not overpowering in the slightest, delish burgers and filling. 4/5

the food was ok, but overall experience was so so. people were literally fighting for a place to sit. as we didn't want to fight we went to the closest park and ate our humburgers very quickly, because it was raining. for some reason we were not provided with any catlery or serviettes - maybe the were at the restaurant, but staff didn't mention that we have to get them ourselves. unfortunately, i don't remember the taste of humburger now ( maybe it was exceptional), but only how inconvenient it is to eat a huge humburger standing in the rain...

you just can't go to queenstown and not visit this place. there is a constant line of people outside this shop. the general wait time is around 20 minutes to get served and another 20 minutes to receive the burger. it's well worth the wait. i ordered the fergburger with brie cheese with chips and wasabi mayonnaise. one of the best burgers i've ever eaten! it is made with good quality beef and fresh ingredients. and it's massive! it's a must visit.

i went here with my american partner to try ‘the best burgers in the world’. i was expecting to queue for over an hour but we went at around 1pm on a weekday before christmas and we only had to line up for around 30 mins. i ordered the southern swine (bottom in pic) and he ordered the mr big stuff (top). it was really nice and the flavours melded together well. i don’t know if i’d go as far as to say it’s the best in the world, but it definitely hits the spot.

it was tasty and the line was not an issue as we called earlier to make an order and so beat the queue. we also made a big order of 11 burgers and rings and they accommodated us very well, despite being busy.
i found the burger yummy but nothing that was extraordinary which i was confused and mildly disappointed about. it was also a huge portion so be sure not to have a big meal prior if you want to finish this. the onion rings were also really delicious and standout.

highly recommend fergburger!! i am truly obsessed. it is 100% worth the wait. been in queenstown a week now and gone to ferg burger nearly everyday 😂 i recommend the fergburger with cheese (brie). also tried the blue cheese which is great too. the fries are enough to share between 2 people, and the aioli sauce is insane. also tried the wasabi mayonnaise sauce for fries which is also delicious, but prefer the aioli. the line is usually insane for ferg... we waited an hour today, and it then took 15mins for order to come out, after the wait. but i think it does add to the hype and makes you even more hungry for food :) the cookies and cream thickshake is also soo yummy! well worth the $9 in my opinion! you must go here if you go to queenstown!!
