did i say"fat" u like fat-great. four of us were very hungry after visiting mr. jacksons home place. three of us ordered the texas brisket and one the pork plate. for those of you that gave this place great reviews you do not knowbbqplain and simple. this is the worstbbqand fattest meat i have ever seen. the brisket was like an accordion. i have atebbqfrom texas, colorado, tn and florida and famous dave's is the worst i have seen for taste and fat. i even seen him on pit masters so i talked the family into going here. the cornbread muffins come out in a cupcake paper and are more like cake (flour) than cornmeal. no one ate their meal and asked to see the manager. she was very nice and helpful, she offered to find us more suitable meats etc. for that we thank her. we declined and the bill was taken away. if you are ever in the conroe,tx area go by a place called sticky ribsbbqand order their brisket. they have mouth watering brisket, best i ever had and bennets in co for ribs. i have to admit i will never go back to a famous daves. i strongly urge you to test their food first if you decide to go.

when i first started going to famous dave's, i loved it! however, after a few times, i realized that the food is inconsistent. the last time i went, my macaroni was stone cold. the waitress never came by to correct the mistake.
although there are some negatives, one positive makes up for it: the burnt ends. they're spectacular. the rest of the food is above average. however, if you're looking for an incrediblebbqexperience, try martin's or mission bbq. they're much better in my opinion. still, i'll probably visit famous dave's again someday. the atmosphere and waiters are usually very good

i ordered the "two meatbbqcombo", which comes with your choice of two meats, two sides and a corn bread muffin. for my meats, i ordered thebbqroasted chicken breast and the texas style brisket. the brisket was smoky and tender and amazing. you could see a nice pronounced smoke ring and a little bit of char on the outside crust. i wish i would have ordered something else instead of the chicken. it wasn't bad, but for some reason in my mind i was hoping or thinking it would be pulled chicken off of the smoked breast. the meat was slightly dry, and i hate dealing with chicken bones but i doused it in different kinds ofbbqsauces that they have at the table and it was good. for my sides i ordered the mac and cheese, which was gooey and cheesy like it should be, and the garlic red-skin mashed potatoes. i am also really picky when it comes to cornbread because although it's supposed to be slightly "crumby", i still like it to be sticky enough that it holds together when you try and eat it. this corn muffin did just that.

awesome chili and service!. stopped in after a dr appt - was really wanting chili and it didn't disappoint at all. reminded me how i make my own in fact so highly recommended. i sat at the bar and the bartender/service person named melissa was outstanding - very courteous/responsive/friendly and made everything that much more enjoyable - tip her well. i also went with the wings (have pics of both will post) which arebbqbased (makes sense given the theme of the restaurant) which where decent (still will go to hooters for hot wings personally) but it was wing wed and they were very good if you like thebbqsauces they have which i do. have a script from dr to pick up in hermitage today so may just stop in again - hope the bartender is the same and i get outstanding service like i did yesterday. give it a try if you are in the area or havent been (i'm from tx so this was new to me).

not georgia bbq!!. my wife and i are transplants from georgia and have eatenbbqour whole lives! we went in on 3/4/2014 around 6pm deciding to give this place a second chance. our first try was very optimistic that this would be good because of all the signs with georgiabbqall over them. well let me tell you the chicken was drier than a popcorn fart! the ribs were so bad they could gag a maggot. fries and slaw were ok but i guess it's not to hard to get those right! the server was very nice and was on point with all our needs. we will never eat there again this food was so bad my dog turned her nose up to it when we brought home the leftovers. famous dave's you do not deserve the right to put georgiabbqon any sign!!

this is one if the better locations, but they sometimes have a hard time being consistent with the food quality (i would imagine that it's a constant battle for anybbqplace). i would recommend them for lunch or dinner, but i haven't had good luck on sundays.

great chainbbqrestaurant. excellet prices on huge sampler platters. awesome corn muffins. good service. loaded nachos and rib tips are great too.

above averagebbqjoint. put off by all the faux antiques. kinda chintzy. ordered the half platter for 2.

ribs were good, chicken real good and pork outstanding. too many sauces to figure out. all the sides were top notch.

service from a very young staff was very good.

would we go back? maybe. it wasn't so strong to be a "must go" place.

no good. we had fd at work the other day and it was great! so tonight i load up the girls and away we go, i am stunned at how bad this food was. i had a 1/2 rack of ribs, tough, chewy, just horrible, are the words that come to mind. others at the table had abbqsandwich 1 to 10 it was a 4. all in all the best thing to eat was the french fries. my daughters green beans tasted just like the potatoes really! a bite of 4 green beans tasted exactly like potatoes. sadly disappointed in the entire meal.

really goodbbqfor a chain restaurant. sevice has been great when we have gone.

worstbbqever. rubbery brisket, greasy pork, and ribs so tuff and dry will never go back. except for their sauces are pretty good.

it's really kind of typical for restaurants around here though.
people read reviews that are judged by like / not like but with the exception of just a few places it's not going to give you a realistic expectation of what you are actually going to receive. there are rules to eating out that vary with the time you show up and as with everything else they can expire at anytime (new management, new staff, luck of the draw, ad finum...) sorry for the digression but with this review it's key.
i like the ribs.
the chopped pork is sub par unless you use it as a topping for one of the over-sized baked potatoes which are really a stand alone item around here. they're awesome.
the side salad beats out the competition by a large margin, list the names of places around here and the side salad just blows them all away, which for abbqjoint is really unusual but it just does... and i really appreciate a good salad.
the sauce selection is good and on the table, use as you will. allspice seems to be a common ingredient and i have spent a great deal of time trying to replicate both the sweet and the devil's spit. if you have food allergies they will show you a list of ingredients..
i have had the chicken undercooked so we always sub it for more ribs, other than that it's pretty good and has a lemony flavor. it may have been a fluke and we do prefer ribs anyway.
rib tips are very fatty, i don't really care because you can pick them apart and i know what they are. sometimes they have a "been on too long" flavor. for the pick two option on the menu they remain viable because they are less expensive and sometimes they're very good.
they offer catfish andbbqnachos... the word you should be looking for is no!
wings are good if not dried out and too salty.

to sum it up, it's worth a shot if you are looking for a good side salad or ribs, just be sure to show up when they aren't getting rid of the old stuff, you might want to check on the pager-coaster function as well. we walked out last time because the little girl playing hostess wanted to argue about whether our coaster paged us or not. i don't really care, but we were standing in front of her the whole time and the thing was in my hand. i would know if it vibrated or not??? how about a seat???

favoritebbqin everett. when i need to get my ribs on, i prefer jones. however, every jones is a half-hour drive at best into the impenetrable traffic scene that is downtown seattle, so getting your rib on extends to one, two hours. so what are you going to do for instant gratification? the best option in everett is famous dave's. yeah, yeah, i know, it's a chain restaurant ... how could can it possibly be? pretty darn good, if i may say so. the sauces are savory. while the ribs are nothing to write home about, famous dave's does beat jones on two key metrics: 1.) dave'sbbqchicken is actually better and 2.) dave's pulled pork is pretty good (i'm not even sure jones offers this key item of southern cuisine). dave also has some great corn bread. we've order this several times for the express intent of snacking on 'em at home.

not worth the price. i had lunch here the other day. i order a combo plate, it had two meats (about 2 bites of each). does it compair? no
if you really want great bbq. #1 thebbqjoint in oak harbor. #2 stickyfingers in marysville. #3 the naked pigs in snohomish. sure its not bad for a change, but ___rack at the other end of everett mall way is 10 times better and gives u 5 times as much to eat. so drive alittle further and enjoy a better meal.
