went there with a big group of friends who come from different backgrounds so we had different types of foodies.
we wanted to go to either ewaan, hanayaa or arboretum, but we found out that this was classified as a "fine dining" restaurant so we went there.
we tried their thursday buffet which they said that it was supposed to be an international buffet with mostly oriental choices.
unfortunately, in comparison with many other restaurants within the same price range in many other prestigious hotels, the buffet was not really up to our expectations.
we expected to see much more options in all sections whether the hot appetizers, the main dishes or the desserts.
at least 60% of the food variety was seafood/fish which was not very suitable for those who didn't eat such items.
the overall spread was limited in comparison to other buffets (like kitchen 6, the market at hilton habtoor, atnaltis' kaleidoscope and saffron...etc)
the desserts were below expectations not only in terms of variety, but also in terms of flavor and professionalism. the only thing that made it up for us was the live crepe station.
in terms of service, although the poor waiters were very polite and tried to be as attentive as possible is was very clear that they were under staffed as they were jumping from one table to another non stop trying to please all guests. which isn't something excusable in such hotel!
to sum up, the experience was okay, but not the kind that would make you come back again. especially that with such price range (240aed for food only) there are many places that i can think of which serve more food without quality compensation. many of them would have the drinks included as well.
