overcharging!!. greeeeezzyyyyy and over priced. not only is it over priced, but pay very very close attention to the dollar amount given you if calling in a "to go" order. add the prices of each item up yourself on a calculator. add any amount of sales tax to it, and a healthy tip.... it will still be less than the amount quoted to you! over charging people seems to be the name of the game here. expect to pay on average at least $10 - $20 more than what you anticipate for to go orders. again over priced for the quality of food... not to mention the rip off "under the table" dollars they're charging. somebodys definitely making a profit.... it's not the consumer!

amazing food! i love their pizza. i don't think i can enjoy pizza from anywhere else.

one of the better places to dine in the valley. honestly, i have never had a bad meal here. steak is good, pasta is good and service is good as well.

great restaurant! the table shared the chicken, bacon, ranch pizza and a chicken caesar salad. wow! the pizza was amazing. the crust was definitely made fresh. the salad was enormous and served on a chilled plate (something many restaurants ignore.) the wait staff was attentive. overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. will definitely return to try other items on the menu. oh, i almost forgot the best thing served. the fired ravioli was a masterpiece!

a wonderful meal! first my pet peeve. that is not being able to finish a course without the next coming out on top! that said our meal was perfectly timed and our server was excellent! we started out with fried raviolis. lightly crunchy without a hint of grease , creamy inside served with a creamy tomato sauce. really very good and piping hot. next we had the homemade clam chowder which was excellent! our main entree we both had the seafood stuffed alaskan halibut served with a creole hollandise sauce.  my husband had his served with the sauce on top as normally served. i had the sauce on the side for fear of the word creole! which to me means " super spicy" , it was not super spicy at all. it had a slight  spice but not bad. i was glad to have the sauce to the side just so i could really taste the fish and stuffing. it was again an excellent dish.  all around, service, food, atmosphere i was very happy with evangelos!

over priced for the food quality, customer service needs work.. my boyfriend took his mother & i out to dinner, hearing it was supposed to be the classy side of wasilla. i was very disappointed to find out the truth. we ordered hot tea, (after waiting 15-20 minutes to be received by a waiter) it was brought to the table cold, my boyfriend politely asked if we could get hotter water, as it wasn't warm enough to steep the tea in. & again the water was brought back cold. we just gave up & drank the watered down tea. we ordered the artichoke dip as an appetizer, it was the best part of the whole meal & experience. i ordered the seafood alfredo, it was bland, had nothing special flavor or unique quality about it. the seafood was clearly not fresh. (baby shrimp & scallops tasted like they had been thawed from the freezer) my boyfriends mother ordered the eggplant parmesan, the eggplant was rubbery & hard to eat, the marinara sauce tasted like pure tomato paste. my boyfriend ordered the seafood aribata, he wanted something spicy & delicious & received a bland & not spicy meal. after all this, we waited 30 minutes to be received by the waiter to get the check, 120 dollars later, we were left disappointed. we will not be going back, & i will be sharing this with all of my friends, shame on you for claiming to be an authentic itallian restaurant, when olive garden can do better. step it up.

gloing back to pappa murphy's. the food is mediocre and the delivery service is horrendous and inept at best!
when ordering for delivery there is a lot to be desired. when it's pizza, the cheese has flowed all to one side, multiple instances that i've personally experienced. seems when order consist of multiple items, this is to include different kind of pizzas' on same order, there is almost always one of the order items missing and they have to return to your house to fulfill delivery item and if they're busy your wait for them to fix their screw up is well over an hour wait. ordered an $18.00 prime rib blue cheese salad and the blue cheese dressing was delivered in one of the small containers that they deliver the red peppers and parmesan cheese in. freaking really? that's not enough dressing to put on a salad served on a coffee cup saucer. 2 of those incidents happened yesterday 28 december 2014. who ever put that order together must be an idiot to think that much salad dressing would be enough to cover a salad in a container that's 3 inches deep and the size of a dinner plate and on top of that forgot to deliver a second $17.00 salad. will never spend another red cent there again. the mistakes listed above is after paying over $70.00 for the order. used to be frequent customer that spent a lot of money over the years but just have had enough of the extremely poor quality of service. pappa murphy's here i come. service is much better there and the pizza is great!!!!!! since i've lived in the valley probably have spent a few thousand or more there. will urge all of my friends and my wife to order from somewhere else from now on and i live in wasilla, not in anchorage.

if you haven't been there lately...give it try!. stayed away from evangelo's based on previous reviews. maybe they have remodeled...as the décor is beautiful! looks very festive all decked out for christmas. clean and elegant! excellent food, courteous and friendly wait staff. have attended an event and a luncheon meeting. would not hesitate to take family or friends here in the future. terrific pizza also. by far the nicest, cleaned, most efficient eating establishment i have been to in the valley, so far and their prices are not bad either.

just get pizza. dated decor, waitstaff that didn't care & just mediocre to lousy food for a premium price. play it safe, just get the pizza the rest of the menu items were terrible!

better then 5 stars. outstanding food, wonderful wait staff, friendly, nice atmosphere, in town. it is a bit pricy, (compared to where i am from)but when you try your food you will understand. they have pasta, steaks, chicken etc. where i'm from if you order a pasta/seafood dish you look for seafood to eat with your pasta, at evangelo's you look for pasta to eat with your seafood. the amount of seafood you get in your pasta dish is unbelievable and excellent...!! we also ordered their calamari...it is the best i have ever tasted in my entire life. i would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is going to wasilla or any town around there, including anchorage its worth the drive. you have to try it at least once, after that i'm sure you'd go back. i will on my next visit, no questions about it. it surpasses a 5 star rating.

passion. the chef has the mojo. this place is the real deal. you'd be an idiot not to eat here.

pick up orders. don't bother to call in a pick up order unless you want to listen to smarmy country music for 7 minutes before hanging up and going elsewhere for average pizza at best...not worth being on hold for...

this place is highly overrated and highly overpriced. they have typical but mediocre italian food. it's like most mexican food places in alaska--very americanized. nothing authentic about it. the atmosphere is nice and the service is good but the food is just so so.

great place for special events. united way of mat-su holds their annual kick-off at evangelos each year. the food, service and decor are always excellent. i have assisted on events in connection with rotary and valley performing arts, too. and the staff at evangelo's were very helpful and it was always a wonderful experience whether i was a guest or a planner. it would be a lovely venue for a wedding or other special event.
